Damn these arty types all being miles away from me. sad

I replied to a thread from another member who was offering to be a life model, however we live miles away from each other which makes the whole thing very impractical!
So, if you are in the Manchester area and are willing to sit still for however long you fancy (up to 20mins per pose) then do get in touch. It doesnt matter about size, age, gender or looks as the drawings are for me to build up my portfolio. No sexual contact is required, just fun and sitting still! I might even brew up! biggrin

I was thinking more strong lighting from behind using dark paper and light chalk to get a powerful muscular contrast.

Yeah! Thats really cool! cool

It's only up to 20mins. Professional paid life models can sit still for over an hour without so much as a twitch! I always wondered how they found out that was a skill they had! confused

Anyway this is all no fee stuff for fun and sitting still for more than 20mins isn't very much fun!
Maybe I should do drawings of you while you are asleep! That way it will minimise the wriggle factor! lol

Hi Gem,
Tried to PM, but dont know if it sent or not.
I'm free Monday, Thursday and Friday this week if you want me to pose for you. I'm a 35 year old male, on the heavy side, but as a plus, I can sit still, especially when there is a free brew on offer. I live in South Manchester (Stockport) area, and can easily travel.

Gem, if you can guarentee to find the 'powerful muscular contrast' in anyone's body, I'd be more than happy to sit still for 20 minutes. It's there somewhere. lol

Wow! All this response, I'm going to have to get a diary!
Just a note to those who dont know what life drawing is.
Life drawing is where a model (the volunteer - that would be you!) takes their clothes off and poses (sits still in various postions for a length of time) while the artist (me) draws you. There is no need for any physical contact and you will be able to chat as I draw smile

Thanks to those who have volunteered, its great to have some girlies ask too! :) I shall be busy PMing. biggrin
