Important update - Due to the fact that a couple of people who did have their names on the list are now no longer members plus the fact that i've had requests from people to bring non members. Imust state this social is for current and active SH MEMBERS ONLY!!!, anyone who doesn't confirm will have their name removed. All names will be on the door (along with matching badges :-)). Time to confirm your places people, if you've requested a place for friday as well please confirm for both nights. If you don't confirm your place by the 20th it may be given to someone else.
Latest Update - Reservations only being taken to the Friday night following an overwhelming interest. A table has been booked (a very large one at that) for a meal to kick the proceedings off. It caters for a range of tastes, there's Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Salads, Italian and Jelly and Icecream. When confirming your places, if you are on the Friday list please advise whether you will be joining us for the meal. (Cost per head + drinks)
I will be asking for confirmation that you will be attending starting from the 1st November, you will have till the 20th Nov to confirm your place after which your place can not be guaranteed. All those that confirm will be sent further information reguarding venue and times etc approx 3-4 days before the event itself.
Update 5 - All discounted rooms have now been taken, thanks to everyone that kept me informed, rooms are still available at the same hotel just not with the discounted rate
Update 4 - Requests for places from single males will now be put onto a reserve list, although this may be unpopular to those of you who haven't got your names down already, as you can see from the list there are plenty that have. People do drop out and fail to confirm their place and these will be made available to those on the reserve list. Feel free to mail me if you would like further information.
Its now time to start organising another Bristol bash. Fun, frolics and occasional memory loss are to be expected.
The main event will be held on the Saturday night (29th), the venue is already booked and a DJ has been arranged all we need to do now is fill it. There will also be a night out arranged for the friday as some of us like a couple of days away and another excuse for more drinking!!!!
Both nights are open to all SH members, those that have been to the Bristol socials before know what a good night it is, those that haven't come and find out you won't regret it.
More details will be added as and when i have an idea of numbers but we have a large venue for the Saturday night so spaces shouldn't be a problem. Please only put your name down if you intend to come. Confirmation e-mails will be sent out approx 2 weeks before, those that reply will receive full details of where and when everything is happening, those that don't obviously won't and your place will be cancelled.
Those people that have never been to a social before and are nervous....firstly don't be, secondly, let me know in advance and i'll make sure someone meets you and introduces you to a few people so you won't be turning up cold.
