Due to dropouts the list is now reopen to all members who joined before August 1st 2010. There are currently 7 places available on the main list with more probably available later due to a low confirmation rate up to now. Only one added condition right now and that is we will accept three more single males to the list as it is leaving four spaces for Single females and couples. Trying to keep all things a bit balanced biggrin

Putting your name down now is past confirmation date so you will be confirmed right away and will need to let us know if you are not coming. :D
Note: If you are on the list below and not highlighted in bold you still need to confirm.
Hi again all.
We have decided to host an early Christmas social in Bristol on the 4th of December 2010. Site members only to be allowed due to the small capacity. The venue is open for normal pub hours however there are those of us who will probably continue to the pubs and clubs of Bristol later in the evening. Social will take place in the private room of a pub near Bristol centre. Please note that although the room is private members will have to use the public bar and toilets. We will provide some background music for the event and possibly buffet food (To be decided later) The venue serves food for anyone who wishs to arrive early and eat a main meal. A list of hotels is available by PM. Venue details will be sent out just a few days before the event to protect members privacy and discourage unwanted guests. Please do not discuss the venue details with ANYONE.
To sign up read the above then add your name to this thread stating you wish to attend. For this event I am using the event listings. This means that once you add your name you will be sent an invite that you must accept. Once you have accepted this invite you will be on the event attendance list and be able to receive all communications about the event. You can also request to attend by going to the events section and clicking attend on this event.

Just a quick note for everyones attention. I am sending out invites from the events section. You need to accept these then your names goes on the list. There are 28 people on the list already and outstanding invites so its already very limited places. Seriously dont want to piss anyone off if they miss out so please do accept you invites ASAP otherwise you may get pipped to it.
Apologies this is not a bigger event, not something I feel up to right now but dont worry we are already thinking of another munch for next year wink

I did not know that it sends an invite out as a Swinging heaven admin invite :-? I also did not know that it was sending out standardized messages when confirming people or adding them to the reserves. Will have to see if these can be edited as they a first off a bit crappy and second they are giving out incorrect information :-? People on the reserves are told the event is full which is not quite yet the case its just because we have some signing up requirements for this event.

i know i wasnt at the last bristol social but i have attended them before on more than one occasion so to see others being added after i have politely asked to attend smacks of favoritism.
and why wasnt i at the last i was coming off the drugs after cancer treatment which was successful to remove a tumor.
and some of you who were at that social i told i was passing blood and then was in hospital that following monday being seen by a specialist.
but you know something? not one of the so called friends i thought i had here asked if i was email not of you had my number but not one of you bothered.
and now just because i didnt attend one social others get to automatically jump ahead of the queue.
ive seen this thread, watched the list so dont tell me it didnt happen.
that is really crap treatment.
social should be open to all members not exclude people just because they couldnt make it the last time due to other committments or illness that is segregation and worse when your told no or put on reserve when others go straight on the list after youve been declined.
maybe because i was forgotten you all have a problem facing me.
thats how i see it.

Entry requirements are clearly set out in the opening post. We want to host one munch per year open to all members. To ensure a good turnout in a small venue this event has some limitations on attendees until October 10th. The members who went on th list after you attended the Bristol Munch and that is why they went on the list. On October 10th if the event is not full reserves will be added to the main list. Later I will ask members on the list to confirm attendance. If people drop out at this stage again the reserves will be asked. If members drop out at any point after that again reserves will be asked. The site does allow us to set entry requirements for socials and other non munch events. These are not set out to offend anyone only to ensure a good turn out.
Its not been fun at all doing it this way but the alternative is to risk a crap turn out in a 40-45 person venue = 20 people sad

Have had PM's from people we would very much like to meet but like you they are on the reserves. It is more than likely we will hold another much next year, this will be open to all site members with accounts older than 3 months.

sorry a bit new 2 this thats y just my name came up . i didn't do the munch recently but i know a lot of ppl on the list no pics on profile because having trouble putting on . most of the time on cam as most on list will confirm . plz consider me 2 go ? .

I guess its a bit confusing but this social is more an invitation only, first come basis as limited spaces , ( invites firstly going to those that went to Sept Munch ) and not a big lets meet up get together !!!
It is also not being organised by the same people as the Feb one ..So the tweekys are only using names of those that attended their Munch..
But If they do not fill all the places they will open it out to others and yr name was near the top !!!!

Hi Coolcolin. Sorry I am a bit behind at the moment with all things to do with this due to personal circumstances. If you go to the events section and ask to attend this event I can add you to the reserves list. Sadly at the moment this event is looking to be very overbooked so I cant comment on places becoming available

Just to clear this up a litte. I am only sending invites to people who ask to attend not everyone who went to the munch in September. Those who went to the munch in September get priority up until the 10th of October when I will fill the remaining places if there are any with reserves. Currently 38 are signed up and I have a small backlog of requests to process but I think most of those will be going on the reserves.

It is now the 10th. As promised I will now add reserves to the fill the event and there are 7 places remaining. Reserves will be added in the order they went on the list. Very important note! Reserves applied by the thread by PM and also by clicking on attend event in the events section. So the order in which reserves appear on the main list may not match the order in this thread as some have not even posted in the thread. There are more reserves than there are available places. I will mail the first 7 reserves on the list and ask if they still wish to attend. They have until the 15th to accept at which time they will be removed from the reserves if they have not responded. Any spaces then left will be offered to the next available reserves.
