Each and every social has its merits and each and every social is different - Its the people that make it and the mahoosive amount of preparation, thought, time and effort on the part of the individual organiser of the event!!!!!! For those of us that go to many different events during the year it ain't about venue, it's about having fun and frolics, dancing our feet off and doing the strut of success (hopefully) the next morning!!!!!!

]THE SOUTHEND / ESSEX SOCIAL ---- GLAMOUR AND GLITZ
Saturday 15th November 2014..... usual Friday met up as well for the hard corers xx
This will be situated in a wonderful historic location in Southend
Complete with own resident DJ and open from 8pm to 2am
Licensed Bar with a few little social entertainment twists Ive planned and buffet.
This is a non profit making event and subject to all the usual social rules ... Due to Venue and other factors
Entrance will be £15 per couple, £6 single females, prepaid to eventbrite
Eventbrite link will be given when name added to list along with hotel list.
Pay on night option add £5 to above prices

I guarantee not like any other social events. The last two were very successful...
We will have exclusive use of a ballroom but Vanilla events maybe on close by and you will be asked to behave in an appropriate manor
This includes not trying to ice swap the DJ or bar staff !!!!! or the bouncer !!!!! or anyone you should nt !!
WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE FROM PREVIOUS EVENTS ;))
The venue details will be kept secret and only revealed to those that have confirmed nearer the time.....
Only those on the confirmed list will be allowed into the venue .

Anyone thats a social virgin and a little bit nervous.. don t worry its more a school reunion with a disco, a great way to put faces to chatters and meet new friends . There is a strictly no play in the venue and no sexual obligations on anyones part, Hopefully many on the list will be regular socialites and I will make sure you are not left standing alone and ignored,,,
Oh course naughtiness in your hotel is allowed as long as videoed ( joke,,,!,)

As seasoned Social attendee's for the past 8 years, Jon and I love attending them all.
Each has its own special Qualities and Southend is no different.
I'd like to point out that Karen goes to a tremendous amount of time and effort to make the whole weekend an amazing friendly experience for all concerned from oldtimers like us, to the terrified newbies.
This years social was a rip roaring success from start to finish. ( even when karen lost her bag of prawns) :giggle:
The casino, meal and general catch up on Friday was great fun as always ,followed by shopping and an afternoon sampling the Whetherspoons cocktails before a quick recharge kip and off to the main event on Saturday night.
Sunday morning is always a chuckle as we limp down with sore heads, dark circles round our eyes, voice transplants and share a few stories oiver brekki and coffee before we head home to 'normaility'.
As an established couple here Id like to inform anyone 'thinking' of attending the next Southend social to make sure you actually do or you are missing out on a great weekend.
Karen goes the extra mile to intergrate the crowd with fun party games and ice breakers ..literally ..cough cough
Southend isnt a clicky social its a 'welcome to all from all over the country' social so whatever you do keep your eye on the forum for next years and dont miss out.
On a personal level, Karen you looked stunning as always ,the party was wonderful and thankyou all so much for looking after me and my knackered leg, (not so sure about the final 'dance' I was wheeled up for where my life flashed before my eyes several times as I clung onto my spinning wheelchair for dear life! :eeek
I very much appreciated all the people that came over to me to say hi and save me the journey on those flippin' cructhes ..grumble grumble.
I'm going to do my very best to not break myself for next year !!
I still had the most fantastic time and I have laughed so much from start to finish my cheeks hurt.
