Hi all, im not actually actively looking but i just noticed that there are loads of threads made with no replys to them and was wondering if anyone actually has any joy when posting threads on this part of the forum?
Obviously some of the posts come across as not exactly appealing but just wondered out of curiosity if folk had luck.

I guess it's the same old problem. Most of the threads are from single guys who outnumber couples and single fems by about 10-1. Add to that a few that post at very short notice and those who live miles away from anyone so a lot of people already have plans or the OP isn't what they're looking for. Then of course, you have the ones who couldn't write anything to make themselves sound interesting enough for anyone to make the effort.

Some of the the threads are pretty laughable to be honest, one sentence "fancy a fuck" isnt exactly going to get a lot of folk queing up is it.
Dont get why folk dont put a bit of thought into it but never mind, not my business.
Was just wondering about the thoughts of others on this topic.

It is original but it does have a few draw backs.
Not everyone lives in London.
Not everyone would be willing to have sex on a train full of grey comuters.
Very few women think they're drop dead gorgeous and so wont reply anyway.
Other than that, well done!
I've advertised on here looking for single guys, unfortunately most of the repliers handn't read the small print.....or any of the print......at all.

Is your glass half full or half empty....
in my opinion, it all depends on yr attitude to swinging and also how realistic your request/requirements are, as to whether this site/forum "works" for you.
literally the other day i put up a thread asking for a female partner to go to chams on sunday.......guess what..within 6 hours, i have made contact with a new single female and we are going to meet on sunday....and hopefully we will have a good time...(i also got a cpl of other messages from single females about meeting on an alternative date woo hoo)
So the moral of this message.....be patient, be realistic, and if you have the right attitude, then being a single male on here isnt that bad after all.....

I just read some ridiculous threads and wondered if they actually had any luck with some of the stuff that they can come out with.
Ive never made a thread about wanting to meet someone on LMU and was just wanting to see what others thought.
One of the classic ones that always make us laugh is the posts that are asking for 2 single bi women for 1 single guy who has a hotel room in the middle of nowhere tonight. Shooting for the stars is not a problem but Jesus lets be realistic!!!!

I think you've effectively answered your own question Goram.
Realistic posts with plenty of time to answer and something worthwhile to offer stand a decent chance of replies. Those which want something very specific and unattainable - at short notice and in the middle of nowhere - usually get 300 views and no replies.
Some of them are very funny though!

Absolutely. Sometimes you need to try several avenues.
Posting up for meets on here doesn't usually get me anywhere (see the recent HarryJones looking for a female or couple - plenty of replies from those who've met and like me but no actual meets out of it) not to say someone else wouldn't be a winner at this.
Posting up my own socials has only really come off once - it's in my signature.
I've never really tried responding to loads of adverts but must do so one day.
My best sucesses come from being in the chatroom, and from attending socials (once you get posting loads, meet some folks, it all starts to explode and go mad). Turn up at socials expecting just a drink and chat and sometimes it just explodes into moments that fantasies are made of.
Then again other times you just meet peeps and chat which opens up further possibilities.
Four years of doing all that and people then notice you (I got called a celebrity the other day
