Perhaps you think that others are being offensive, however, the Cafe is a place for chat and banter and everything inbetween.
When ads are placed elsewhere there may be some comment upon it, especially if the ad is of the 'fancy a shag' type which only serves to get some backs up. Not exclusively though. It is inevitable that comments will flow. Either stay strong and ignore them or retreat under the barrage of advice. I can't say which is the better tactic.
