I am travelling up to Whitehaven this weekend and wondered if anyone from the site lived there? I'd love to meet up with people for a drink if you are in that area.

Awww, Whitehaven's not that bad! I used to do a lot of work up there. Anyway, with the weather being as it is, you may end up staying a lot longer than you originally planned!

Does anyone now what the weather is like in the whitehaven area at the moment, the long range forecast has it as being nice for the next 5 days, be interested in what the rest of the m6 is like to. Being stuck "up norf" with the ex would be hell.

Well according the local traffic news coming home tonight, they are warning that various roads in Cumbria are closed off with the snow, but just how bad it is, Im sorry I cant really help, I am sure there are some Cumbrian folk on here and hopefully one of them will reply?

The weather in cumbria at the moment isn't too bad compared with the East.
There have been a few light snow flurries, but it's damn cold - be careful if you take a brass monkeys out with you - could cause severe damage to his anatomy.
