I see that there is still talk about hotels and the like:
For what it's worth, and based on business trips and leisure trips going back many a year I'd recommend:
All are in Centraal. Stay away from Ledseplein and other more distant areas.
The Winston - Top place.
The Rho, just past dam square, nine mins from the station.
The Roode Lieuw, just before dam square, on Damrak. (Good dutch food here)
The Hotel Damrak, five mins from the station on Damrak
The Avenue in the street parallel to damrak, five mins from station.
The Botel if you really must but there are cheaper and better options.
All have phone numbers you can get from international directory enquiries. all walkable within 10 mins even with luggage.
Also you should know that the VVV (neds national tourist organisation) will help you to book at very little charge. Go look up VVV in google.
Absolute musts in the way of info for first-timers:
take the train from schipol to centraal station - cheap and quicker than the KLM bus
buy a threeday pass for the trams/buses/metro at the ticket office by the tram terninal at centraal station - it's valid in other towns too
there 's a secure left luggage facility at centraal station
the steaks at the many argentinian restaurants are ace (don't mention the malvinas)
the comdomerie (condom boutique) behind de bijenkopf department store is a good laugh
other stores:
absolute danny for fetish wear and toys
ellen shippers for very stylish latex
clubs:
fun4two at gouda is a good plan - the atmosphere is fine and the place is a little over-organised but all in all worth the trip and don't be put off by the model-types ishown on their website
and finally, the amsterdam historical museum is a good visit, costs nothing and has an excellent restaurant
best ever to all

Thanx for the help babes. xxxxxxxxxxx
But there seems to be such a difference in prices for the Hotels we are leaving it up to you to book which ever one fits your pocket !!!! See ya there !!!!
AM going to Dam on Sat for a few days
Will post anything of interest up here next week
blonde have u getting ya hotel yet we have booke in to the bulldog hotel
Rescued this from page 6, it was fretting!!
Without becoming offical organisers, we did some research about a pub to meet up in on Sat afternoon. How about a pub called "The Old Bell"? it is on Rembrantplein and has a good selection of beers, plus does food!!
Suggest meeting about 4pm?
As the day wears on, around the corner there is a strip show / lapdancing place called "The Blue Bell" (no relation), maybe the party could move to there?
At a suitable point those couples who are going to Fata Morgana would have to leave, but for those left it is just a short stagger to the RLD.
All in favour say Aye.
