i would suggest you get yourself known first...a hello thread in the cafe is a good start
if you have a look a first post "request" is normally shot to pieces or scorned... or if you have a look at other thread normally get very few replies... if any!
i would also suggest you read the thread "can i offer the single guy a piece of advice" since it has loads of tips.....
no quick fix here i am afraid...
