As some of you are aware I regularly host a room (Golds Room, on server 2 on SH). This activity is something I thoroughly enjoy and even if I say so myself I think it's a nice room and there are lots of great people in there to chat to. Each year I host a Golds Midlands Social. This social is all about quality, not quantity and for newbies who may never have attended a social before, it may well be a perfect introduction to the social element of SH.
Event organising is one of the activites Silver and I do for a living. So it comes as second nature. I make no apologies for trying to achieve a social event that is a little more sophisticated than meeting in the backroom of a pub. You are our friends so therefore you deserve something in a nice environment with a bit of something extra special. This is the second SH event I have organised at this venue, and we are looking forward to it very much. Even if I say so myself, last years event was something quite special and many said it was the best they had ever been to.
This social is a limited capacity of 60 only.
EVENT INFORMATION
The date is Saturday 4th April
There will be a four course dinner, entertainment by one of the country's top tribute artists, disco and a really good atmosphere to let people meet. The event is non profit making, the only cost to you is £15 per person, this covers the cost of the meal. The entertainment is being covered by myself and Silversmith. Obviously if you require accommodation for the night, you can stay at the hotel. The rate for this is per person for double occupancy.
I also have a list of nearby B & B's if you prefer at a lesser rate.
DRESS CODE - Smart casual for the guys, suited and booted if you like, but no denim or trainers please.
For the ladies, elegant and sexy would be lovely, but bear in mind we will be in a private function room, but members of the public who may be at the hotel and of course the staff wont be wanting to see tits out etc. Sexy is good, tarty isnt !!!! Outdoor coats can be left at reception upon your arrival.
This social is by invitation only and the meal and any accommodation must be booked with the hotel, and paid for no later than 7 days before the event. This will prevent me from having to collect money on the night, and also prevent meals being booked and people not turning up and us having to pay for them. The event is booked at the hotel under Tina's Social event. No-one who just turns up on the night will be admitted.
ITINERARY
We will meet in the bar area of the hotel at for drinks and welcome.
At 8:00pm we will be escorted to our tables for dinner. The menu is below. If you are vegetarian, there is a suitable alternative. But please let reception know you require this when booking your meal.
After coffee and mints, there will be time to chat and mingle before we start the short cabaret (about an hour for the cabaret should be right I think), when you will be entertained by a fantastic tribute to one of the world's most famous glitz and glamour rock and pop icons. After the cabaret there will be a great disco. There are also plenty of places to sit, chat and flirt, and for those who want to, dance the night away.
The event will run until approximately 1am. But for those who are staying over (!!!!) you can retire to your rooms and carry on with your own brand of entertainment (!!!!) The banging of headboards is an occupational hazard and will probably be ignored. LOL

Gold and Silver....
From a personal point of view that was the best social event to date without exception.
The ambience, entertainment, food and Disco were just perfect. Tamworth suprised me too...what a lovely ickle town.
Most of all and most importantly....the company was exceptional. I only wished I could have chatted to more people. I was also sat with a fantastic bunch of people on my table and to those chaps....thanks for your company. xxx. Loved it!

Thank you so much gold and silver he the quite one. Its was our first social and wont be our last.
I must say every person we met was nice and was nice to put a face to the text was as mad as normal and the lads being jp jk and silver did a bloody fine job with no time to get together before hand to do there show well done lou can play with my balls anytime lol.
A very big thank you to all who put money for the kids PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK they £200 better off now.

Well what can we say that has not already been said. To start we have to say how wonderful the entertainment was,so much better than just a disco.
The songs that Gold sang were excellent and Silver should be on the stage more often (sweeping it) joke apart he was brill.
Thanks to all on table 7 who were lovely and where all of you made us welcome.
Special thanks to Mr Mrs Funpair who we made a instant conection with and spent the evening laughing and joking at ourselves

what can i say the Tamworth social was just brilliant from start to is the second social i've been to organised by gold n silver and they have both been top notch do's..Of course the entertainment was fantastic the vent dummy..wow he was good...lol.

Well Gold and Silver yet another gr8 social organised by you both ty, would also like to say a big thankyou to Dave/Paul/Scotty (whatever he is being called today...lol) for doing the Disco and for Elton for doing the tribute and giving their time up for charity all three of you were gr8 Gold and silver kept us entertained during the nite.
