i'm visiting Norwich later this week to see family...any links to a site for the beer festival or details of where it's being held? Only ever been to beer fest up in the north...i'd be interested in finding out if the beer down there is as good as up here!

CANCELLED - POOR HARRY IS VERY VERY SICK
Dear all
Very sorry to have to do this, but last night I was shivering and shaking before I left work. Got home was very sick and very hot, went to bed at 8pm, woke up at 9,10,11,12,1,2,3,6,7,8 This morning I left half my breakfast as it was just far too painful to swallow and likewise dinner time. Now my ears are very hot, my glands huge, and Ive just shone my large torch down my throat and there are several weird white looking bits (and they don't look like ulcers).
After careful consideration I have to say there is no way I will be well enough to get to Norwich on Friday night.
I even cancelled a Chas n Dave concert last night :!:

My mate Harry,
I know how you're feeling because i've had the same symptoms since monday night.....shivers, sore throat, headache and sleepless nights. I took Beechams cold and flu hot lemon and now i'm feeling much better.

Hi Harry,
Sorry to hear your are poorly, hope you are better soon.
Make sure you drink loads and get youself off to the doctor, those swollen glans and the description of your tonsills sound bad - ?Glandular Fever/ maybe just a bad flu but better to get yourself checked out.

I am going to head off to the docs tomorrow to get an emergency appointment, their next proper appointment is either 4th or 7th November ffs :!: I have been drinking crazy amounts of water, I drink a lot normally but have trebled my normal water intake. Fortunately I have tomorrow booked off (I have to be on my deathbed before I am sensible enough to have a day off), so can try to recuperate.

Harry's Health Update
Doctor says I have a throat infection, has given me a week of penicllin vk and says that should clear it up quickly and I can drink beer (but at moment have no desire to do so, in fact I am thinking about going back to bed for a sleep).

Thanks Jane, the penicillin have taken the worse of the pain off now, as long as I keep drinking my squash I am fine that way but totally shattered.
