Hey all
I can be in the braintree area tomorrow between noon and three pm so if anyone wants to meet up for a social drink please get in touch. I will be checking online till 11am tomorrow when I will give up lol

Just as well I got the expected response, I stayed up on chatrooms till 0340 and only just woke up.
I was paranoid I had missed an invite from a mature blonde woman into watersports :shock: lol

Ermm I have to agree there redface

I think I might have got nicked by a speed camera pointing towards me on the other side of the road tonight despite the fact I have driven past the bloody thing on literally a thousand occasions.

I got mine within about 10 days.
Â£60 fine and yep 3 points on the licence
Need to invest in a snooper lol
Having said that i knew the camera was there and i was braking fron 60 limit to 30 limit!
Lost that split second concentration and it had me lol

Ok i was over the limit by 6 miles (law is law) but at 3am with no other cars or pedestrians about. Was i driving dangerously?

harry, if not through within 14 days u r in the clear.
cause the have to charge u, within that time.
don't worry, harry, i got 6 pts ( 1 more than my beloved west ham )
and i challaged 1 last june, 2005. and not heard nohting back, so i am in the clear. cause it over 12 mths now.

I'm confused mate, what have speed cameras got to do with driving dangerously other than the very dangerous harsh braking everyone does as they approach them.
What really pisses me off is that I slowed down for it about 100 yards too soon, thought bollocks I'm not there yet then accelerated and didn't see the bloody thing in the pitch black. I'm sure there used to be a street light on above it. And whats the point of painting the back of the bloody things luminous yellow if they catch you in the opposite direction confused

Cheers mate, is that 14 days or 14 working days :?: Great gag about more points than West Ham. Ive always been proud of having a clean licence for 14 years despite the fact I end up doing a ton down the A1 on the way to a certain social I always attend.
The piece of road in question tonight seems a ludicrously low limit for the area anyway, there are stretches of road in England where driving AT the speed limit seems dangerous and others where you pootle along thinking why :?:
Oh well the anticipation of post opening for the next 14 days whopee doo biggrin

Having a nice beer and a pizza to cheer myself up. I have not booked a hotel for my next social in any event so have Â£30 spare for it and cause I was ill didnt get to a social last week which would have cost me about Â£30 so got it covered.
