Yes, it was rude which was why I commented on it. If you don't want people to add themselves to your message service then just reject it. Or stay as showing 'offline'.
If people are misreading your posts then maybe you could consider writing them again so they are clearer??? I read the original a couple of times and it didn't make much sense to me...
