Can I quickly just alert people thinking of attending one of our parties for the first time to what I said in the initial post on this thread........................
I have had several requests from people who are not exactly newbies to the forum, but who have never attended one of our parties, and as such I took the time to check with them whether they would be OK and comfortable with the amount of man-on-man sex that they might see.... some of these people have decided (quite rightly for them, and with respect to others attending the party) that they would rather not attend once I had pointed this out.
Thus, can I stress to everyone thinking of asking for an invite, and those already on the guest list too, that if you are at all uncomfortable with being in close proximity to possible man-on-man fun that you do not ask for an invite, or if you are already on the list, that you let me know immediately so that I can give your place to someone else.
I know that man-on-man sex is not everyone's cup of tea, that is why I ask in PM before I offer invites. I do not want the bi males at the party to feel uneasy about straight people there who may have a problem with it. The idea of these parties is that a diverse spectrum of people get together and have a damn good time.... we cannot do that with homophobes in the building. Sorry to put it bluntly, but that's the way it is!

I disgracefully but unashamedly agree with the above 100%.
On a serious note I have attended parties in the past where the talk of the day after the party was all about bi sex and mainly male on male activities. This was to the effect of ....'OMG I have never seen anything so disgusting in all my life" The related stories of what took place in no way related to the party I was at and the exaggerations of what took place was quite outstanding. Thankfully this was nothing to do with any of blues parties and needless to say I do not attend that particular group of parties anymore.
As a 50-50 bi male I enjoy blues parties immensely and meeting up with the free spirits who regularly attend them. I would be upset if anyone was in any way offended by what some would term as blatant and unrestrained bisexual behaviour, our own version would be "Freedom of our sexuallity". There are in truth very few places where actual hardcore group activity takes place with the same uninhibited liberalism as those who attend blues parties. I'm sure none of us in the LGBT community wish to offend anyone, just as we ourselves do not want to be offended by those who may not fully wish to be in the vicinity of such freedom of sexuallity. Hopefully we all respect the term "Each to thier own"
Complete sexual freedom with like minded individuals is something to be cherished, however we all have our preferences in life and the last thing we want to do is appear to force our ethos or our orientations on anyone. We absolutely respect the fact that it isnt for everyone.
On a lighter note, bisexuality whether male or female cannot be caught from someone else, it isn't infectious........is it? :P ......Unless you attend one of blues parties

i fully agree with what u say, tho in have never been to a bi party b4, as my hubby is str8, i usually go to club on bi nights mainly cause its a safe place to go as a single female, a while back a club called chameleons, which most of u will have heard of if not been to, started a bi night which was fantastic for me as i love bi men, its very close and a place my husband felt was ok for me to go to as a single, so i started going, when they first started doing it they had no membership fees for single guys but very soon all the str8 guys who couldn't get membership on 'normal nights' picked up on this and started taking over the mondays, picking women up and trying to go into private rooms, cause of this it made if very hard for the genuine bi men as they had the freedom to play with other guys taken away cause they was afraid of it being a str8 guys and offending someone (tho it would be their own fault for being there in the first place) also the str8 men would stand shouting rude comments to the bi men who was playing etc,i guess where i'm trying to go with this story is wether it be a party or a club always make sure its what ur after and not just think...oh a party :wink: cause swinging as as much about respect for other as getting what u want yourself

Same thing happened at bi nights at Liaisons - loads of straights hanging around only looking for women and making snide comments to the bi guys. A lot of the bi guys stopped going for that reason, so I stopped going too cos I wasn't going there to be with straights. Maybe it's got better now, I haven't been to a bi night for months.
