an I have some reserve floorspace too? I'm only 5'5 smile also I think your muscles really wouldn't like picking me up :)
Just looked up about getting there, just a 3 hour 28 minute train journey with 3 changes but the price is good :) Unless could get someone who's going to give me a lift before the time, if someone drops out :)
Ho hum.....that's the problem with look at the forum since I've realised that I've been missing stuff...I missed this.
Never Again!

Hang on, its only about 85 / 90 miles isn't it. 3.5 hours seems a bit excessive for that, even with 3 changes. Might be worth looking at a different train time Simon.
Judy.

No, Simon's quite right - looks like the times are in excess of 3 hours all day

Hi everyone wave
I have a big favour to ask.............I would still love to come to the party, but unfortunately my friend Steve is now unable to, and so I am without a ride - would any of you be able to give a lift to a Damsel in distress? I am happy to pay towards petrol, and RogertheDragon (my husband) can take me to Peterborough or Leicester if that makes it easier............?
Thank you in advance,
Charlotte xx
Seems a bit daft having to go backwards from Burton to birmingham then up to Preston no wonder it takes over 3 hours lol
any airports in Chorley ? or how about National express coaches Blue strut your stuff n find out lol

Hi Charlotte, I can't offer a lift I'm afraid as I am getting a lift myself.....but if the worst comes to the worst you can always catch the bus. It's about 5 hours from Leicester, which I know is quite a long time but at least it means you'd still be able to make the party..... I wish I could help more.....I will talk to my lift and see if they can offer you a lift....if that makes sense..... biggrin

An airport in Chorley rotflmao
You can't do Burton-on-Trent to Chorley direct via National Express....
Journey information
We have been unable to find any outward journeys using the locations and dates that you entered.
We have tried possible alternate locations, and we have tried up to seven days after the dates that you specified .
It is likely that we are unable to find a route between the locations specified, or that one of the locations selected is only served seasonally - during the summer only, for example.
Please click on the button below to return to our home page so that you can make other selections

You could do the bus from Birmingham to Manchester no problem.... but that's no good, is it................ nah........ not good, that would take longer all things considered confused

Well, you know, actually.... I didn't want to mention the private run-way I've just finished building in my back yard. The air-traffic control centre is almost completed and should be up and running by party night
Ok, who complained that they could take part in every kink except joining the mile high club at blue's parties?

To the heavens wink lol
I know this isn't very helpful but if I didn't have transport and public transport wasn't a realistic option, I'd get on my pins and start walking about a week before. That way I'd be sure to arrive on time.
Blue's parties are certainly worth the effort, and by the time I'd walked back and arrived home a week later, I'd have been away for a fortnight and would've had a wonderful holiday to boot. innocent
There, problem solved!
I'll get my coat! bolt
Seems to have ben a big discusion over my transport arangements, never said that the train was a problem, now it would be preferable if someone could give me a lift if anyone is passing through my neck of the woods but the Train is fine.
Hi Blue, how are you and your better half?
House warming party? Have you moved?
I have just got back online, and wondered if you could put my name down for your next party (I know I wont get onto this one)
Many thanks

Yes I've moved.
I am not compiling lists for future parties as I may decide not to do any more after this, who knows confused
In that case, could you put me onto the reserve, reserve listing if there is one.

We've already done that joke lol
I'm not on the actual list yet am I?

Nope. And remember you may never get on the definite list if no-one pulls out. No-one has pulled out so far, therefore you remain as a reserve. If the situation changes, I will let you know via PM.
Only a month to go now folks lol
I'll be sending the details, address, directions and so on,to everyone in PM in a couple of weeks smile
I assume that people who are getting hotels are sorted, or will soon be sorted - if you are struggling to find somewhere PM me and I'll try to help.
Those that are down on the list as staying over, there are a number of comfy places available - one double bed, 2 singles, and 2 double sofa beds - the rest of you will be kipping on the floor :uhoh: (or not kipping at all  ). I have several duvets and assorted pillows, but may need some extras. NO-ONE - I repeat NO-ONE is allowed to sleep on my fluffy cushion
:P
damn!!! damn....crawled in at the back end of things once again..if only i would of been a membre earlier...
i suppose the best way to meet the local SH members is 1 of blues parties which seem to be the topic of conversation..
ah well blue.....hopefully by the time you move again i will be able to attend your house warming party...
enjoy (as if you wouldnt) confused

Dargento, as I've met you now, I am happy to put you on the reserve list, if you still want to come?
lol
Three weeks to go folks!
I will be sending address details, info about rules, and so on next weekend - most probably Saturday, or maybe Friday if I get my act together.........
If you have any questions before that, feel free to ask (though bear in mind I will not be online from tomorrow lunchtime til Thursday night this week)... if you have a general question I'm sure there are plenty of party old-hands on the forum who will be able to help
Can Neil and I bag a double sofa bed pretty please??? ;)
And the outfit is going to be something consisting of fake fur and feathers me thinks!
biggrin Yay! Can I get all excited yet? Can i? Can i? :bounce:

Is there a booking system for these or is it first come first served ? (a poor choice of phrase in the circumstances, I know).
Perhaps as contingency I should pop along to Cotswold for a new sleeping bag....
