Paid me fifty squids to join this site because I became totally bored with the hum-drum of the Lycos/LIM scene. Met a few nice women there, but it seems that you pays for what you gets. These free/cheap sites are a-wash with middle aged woman with out of date photo's looking for an ego massage. The one's who post saucy pics of them selves would on the face of it seem up for it but alas it's not the case in many instances (not just cos of me if you're thinking that !). So I figured after the 3 years I've spent messing around I'd join a real site with women that actually require something more than a full inbox. Anyway there's my spin... I joined a free dating site a few days ago; you can post adverts, send and receive messages; there`s even a forum - all for free!

It's a fair comment but only if you can't read... Nothing wrong with middle aged but I ain't quite there yet... My point was the sites are free and full of time wasters and people who want mail, not action (not all but some). I am selling my self because I'm articulate and can type in straight lines with reasonable grammar. Lo betide anyone who thinks otherwise. I'm stroppy and don't suffer fools gladly. That's me. I'm afraid it's true. The site was sold about a month ago and all the members who joined before that are still here for free.
So looks like you've not gained anything - justy lost 50 quid
btw my avatar photo is about 2 months old, but I don't think I've changed that much in the last 50 days wink

GingerMinger (as I'm sure that was how you meant to spell it instead of inferring you were in fact a woman with a ginger pussy) most sites seem to have their fair share of messers and time wasters. One thing I've found common amongst the various sites I've visited is that, on the whole ... those who can be bothered to contribute to and become part of the active forum community, are on the whole genuine people.
Once you've established that, and become part of that group yourself, you will then be able to meet in real life and ascertain for real who people are and what they want. Without actually taking the time to get to know people, I think you may be guilty of pre-judging.
Just hang about, post a few bits of tripe like the rest of us ........ dare I say, put a happier picture on your profile????? wink

I need to be very careful what I write here because My account was banned for six months after my original comments last night. Obviously I'm back and thx to admin for that at least. I'll walk on egg shells from now on but I'm rather confused as to why it's okay to personally abuse me with certain comments that have arisen from my initial thread. I'll keep this short because as I say it seems I'm at a disadvantage. I've read the book given reference to by Dale Carnegie and I agree my opening gambit probably was at best naive. However there is an enlightening chapter in this book about not criticizing others. I of course did criticize others but in my defense didn't use that book to make my point. So I'll leave you to think that over. If you find my images in any way unpleasant or offensive please tell me via private message and don't discus the negative points in open forum. Another has suggested I'm here for a "quick shag" and that I should pay Â£50 to a hooker. Thanks for the advice but it's not quick and I don't pay...
