For first time "munchers" - I'm planning some very gentle ice-breaker type things (that you don't have to join in with if you don't want too) but with the idea of getting people talking to each other, plus we'll have a "newbie" corner, so you can meet up with other people who have taken the plunge and come to a munch for the first time. I know it can be quite intimidating the first one you come too - but promise we're a very friendly bunch and it should be a GREAT night!!!!

Great idea. Given how friendly Munchers really are, it is extraordinary how difficult it can be to get talking. I even met a used car salesman at a Nottingham Munch who finds it difficult, even though he could strike up a conversation to anyone, anytime - except at a Munch!
My personal solution is never to sit down - at least that way you tend to bump into people, if nothing else.

PLEASE NOTE: The attendance list has only be separated into singles & couples for ease of perving - ooops, meant counting of course!!!!!
ANOTHER NOTE: I realise there is a very large number of single males who have signed up for this (yum yum), please don't let this put you off attending. I have found, from the Munches I have attended previously, that on average at least half of the single males who sign up don't actually show up on the night. Whilst I am not casting aspersions on any of the lovely blokes who have signed up (where would single girls like me be without single blokes?) that's the reason why I have not yet put a cap on the number of single males who sign up - however if the list does get ridiculously huge I will start up a reserve list. Plus of course, if I am proved wrong and they DO all show up, then roll on the snogfest, have my magic lipstick all ready!!!!!!
