There is life down here in the SW but it seems to be more "underground". The only real club in Bristol is The Office, but there certainly are groups and regular parties, there are many swinging couples who want private meets, and we've met more than a few bi-fems. We even got sent invites for some great groups and met people who hold regular events. We even popped down Devon way twice this summer to meet up with people who had invited us. Just make your presence know, have an ad with pics, an available email addy, and post to the forums. Reply to some ads you like, and respond to people who apply to yours. You'll soon find yourself invited and in demand. Being good looking and sexy goes a long way as well! Rachel
We have found the Southwest to be great for swinging and the scene is very active. We moved from the Southeast and if anything the Southwest is as good as the Southeast, if not better. There is a Couples Club in Exeter every month and a monthly Fetish club at the same venue, there are also Fetish clubs in Plymouth. The houseparty scene is terrific in the Southwest too, but is almost uniquely for Couples, which seems to be the norm anyway.

A Yahoo group is tied into someone's email address. They are a group of people who either email each other party info or have a mini site. It's a bit like this Let's Meet Up forum, but only people on the lists will get the emails. You can't decide to get in touch you would need to be invited to join and get on the list, that's what happened to us. I have been PM'd invites from people I have never seen on the forum following posts I made. I guess these people like to keep underground. But then that is what swinging was like in the old days before the Net, when it was done through contact mags, phone calls and letters (and you could leave your back door open...). And call me "Rachel", not this "Chick" business. And even if you do call me "Chick" - some do - leave the number off - it isn't part of my name! Rachel

It would be fair to say, thought the SW might be a swinging place, the actual activity level from the SW on this site is less than in other areas. The often mentioned SW Munch might improve the profile of the SW, but as few people seemed to show an interest (i.e. posted replies) it often comes across as a disaster waiting to happen.

So now that we've established there are a few of us in the SW, is anybody going to host a party of any kind or organise some kind of gathering? Not that I mind travelling to the parties - we're going to Surrey for the one next w/e as it happens - but if there are any closer ones, let us know. Rachel P.S. I guess you're a single guy as well as new - you have no idea how annoying those kind of emails and PMs get for us ladies sometimes! Every now and then you will get one of the genuine single guys - and there are some really great ones here - post to say how people like that ruin it for everyone and get them all a bad name. Anyway, that wasn't the point of my post - which was why it was in a P.S. But yes, he was in the SW, has a "wifey" as he calls her but "likes to play away". yes a party....... i would love a munch down in the sw a party night or a whole weekend just typical that cus of time taken to travel plus work other commitments i have`nt been able to attend any munchies yet! to get known and meet the people that are only pic`s and writing on s.h. although from there posts on here i feel i know some of their charaters already i however have no problem with traveling long distances to meet up you expect that living this far down the country the problem i have is as a single male (now don`t get me wrong i`m not moaning oh no) far from it cus i would like to plan and host a munch or party down here in the sw it is just early day`s yet!!!!!!!! and yes i realise that it would be a thankless task very frustrating time consuming hard work but at the end of the day if people came and it was a success it would be very good for all us down this end of the world so to recap if no one has a problem with me organising it i will give it a go but not just yet thats the best i can say at present folks
