Is there a couple who would like to join us at Liberty Elite this Saturday. Maybe a meal before going to the club
James and Sylvia
We've looked at this club but the £50 a year membership for couples (when we could only go a few times a year) is very steep. Yes, they look quite nice but it is most unsual for a club to charge at all for couples membership and we wonder why this club thinks they can justify it?
hi
we also was looking at the club but we agree with you flidais
we could only get there maybe 2 times a year and as we would have to stay over
we thought the membership was far to expensive ontop of the hotel and club costs just for maybe 2 times a year sad
first club we have found that charges a yearly membership ?????????

Exactly, can anyone who goes there, explain how they can justify charging COUPLES £50 a year for membership?

When it first opened as Liberations I seem to remember that the membership for couples was in the region of £100, although they gave memberships away for the first month or so. LaChambre still charges couples for membership doesn't it? I know we paid £25 on the one time we went but that was quite a few years ago now, evil Utopia is currently charging £25 as far as we know and Infusions charges £5.

La Chambre does charge £25 a year membership for couples, though you can get lifetime membership for £75...not quite the same as a 'yearly' membership of £50.
Infusions charge a 'token' £5 for lifetime couples membership.
Utopia charge £25 a year (too much we think)
All in all, unless someone else can find somewhere, we reckon 'Club Elite' is the most expensive.
Think we'll stick to Chams, no fee for couples to join and bloody good fun too.
It always amuses me how couples think they should get everything for free in this country. As a single guy I am used to being charged extortionate membership and entrance fees to subsidise the couples. On the continent couples are charged realistic membership and entrance fees and do so without objection because the clubs offer fantastic facilities. Remember, nothing in life is for free - you get what you pay for :-)

No problem with paying for quality...just commenting on the amount (compared to other clubs) and wondering how they justify it? confused
But still have to say that Chams (in Darlaston and Newport) is the best club for us and, when couples membership is free, another club would have to be extra special to entice us there. biggrin

In Denmark, we pay a yearly registration fee of around £30 and this gives us membership to two clubs. If we arrive before 10pm then we get in free, after that it's about £10 ish. The Single guy memebership for the year is the same £30 although he is to pay around £20 entrance fee every time he goes. So lets not bring the continent into things because they do things differently. rolleyes
I do object to having to pay for a club heavily in this country because of the amount they charge single guys. Especially when couples/ single females in a straight club environment are somewhat regarded as the 'entertainment'. confused
Sorry, but without the couples and females going... it wouldn't be a swingers club it would be a gay sex club. :? I don't think this gives couples the right to adopt a 'holier than thou' attitude, but as for single guys subsidising.... get real. Why do we have to pay entrance fees too then? Hmmmm? :?

Some good points...like the idea of paying a membership and then being able to get in free if it's before a certain time..they should adopt that at a few places here.
hi
i agree with you both
we never mind a yearly fee if the club turns out to be worth while smile but just thought that was far to expensive when we are only going to use it maybe 2 to 3 times a year ?
we know single guys get a raw deal as they do pay outrages prices sad
but if cples dont go im sure the single guys wouldnt rolleyes
we go to the 101 doncaster and never paid a membership fee just a weely entrance fee and this place is very friendly to :)

If you are concerned why don't you ring the club and ask, just to check their prices are correct on the web site
I enjoy it there and go as often as I can, munches permitting  and have taken guests from this site with me and they have also enjoyed it.

Good idea...but, sadly, it seems that those prices are correct.
If we were able to us it often it would be ok but for a few times a year it is, sadly, out of the question sad

Became a member of thid club when it was liberations and was quite happy after the first night to pay the £100 life membership as the club was everything we wanted. However the club has changed management twice since the, the first time they offered us free membership but new managemet now want £50 yearly membership. We travel 100mls to get there, can only go 2-3 times a year, have to stay at there accomodation or use a hotel, and also pay entrance fee. this makes it a very expensive evening. What a shame that the managment have spoilt the best venue we had found.

What a pity....seems greed is winning out with the owners of this place?
If we'd paid 'lifetime membership' of £100 and was then asked to pay again we'd be really p*ssed off to say the least.
I know its a bum deal for the guys.....but the incentive for couples and single girls is low or no membership fees at all.......and the incentive for single guys paying these membership fees is more couples and single girls going to these clubs...
