As you can see i have updated the list on the first page of the forum and there are a lot of people who are not confirmed....

It has come to my attention that half of the people on the list recieved correspondance from me over twenty times
more worrying is the fact that it would appear that half of the people recieved no correspondance at all, this could go some way to explaining the poor confirmations recieved.
I appreciate that to attempt to rectify this on the day of the social is probably too late, however i have mailed all the persons i believe didnt recieve the information and hope they can make some last minute arrangements

It's incumbent on several things
(1) once names added to the list, then an 'invite' to join the Group being sent
(2) people then actually following the link in the invite and actually joining the Group
Having a quick look at several profiles who haven't confirmed reveals that they have not joined the group and therefore the Group mail wouldn't reach them, as they aren't in the Group.

As for the 'Contact' function within the Group, this will send messages to everyone who's in the Group. At this time it uses slightly different computer code, so when you hit 'send' you are not returned to another screen, but stay on the same screen so the temptation is to believe nothing happened and to 'send' again. Also nothing is placed in your :: Mailbox in "Sent" items.
There is also the issue whereby in :: Settings, under "Privacy" option, people need to ensure that they haven't got anything set under Block these account types from messaging me:, especially "Couples" otherwise anything you sent they might not actually receive.
