Well this is just a bit of an idea
I find myself in London for the day on Saturday , and I have always wanted to go on the London Eye. So I have persuaded Richardm to join me , and was wondering if any others would like to join us too ??
we thought 2pm might be a good sort of time .......... so any offers?
I'd love to come along - only 18yo M tho... too young?
I would be interested but can't do 2pm, as I'll be bellringing for a wedding or having a test drive in something rather sporty (just for the sake of it). My only previous time in the Eye was at sunset, beautiful and I have some nice pics (although the glass can be dirty in the capsule). I hear it's going to rain on Saturday and be miserable but still warm (20deg C).
Early evening would have been ok. PM me if you change your minds or have any Q's. And no matter what anyone offers I'm not dogging up there! Mind you they couldn't chuck you out til you got back down again biggrin Takes about 45mins if I remember rightly, queue shouldn't be bad at that time of day.
(yeah, I know you're only planning it to be social - well, I expect so)
Not long been, went on a scorching hot Sunday just after the bombings confused
It was fantastic and dont worry, they are air conditioned and security was high.
Enjoy yr visit!
xx
Hello
I keep meaning to go on it one day but at moment need to put all funds towards 1) my holiday in November (wet weekend in pontins at 70's weekender) and 2) Leics Munch
Have a fun time on it.

and the Norwich Book Club. Not that I'm pushy at all.
Jezzay.
Hey Jezzay
Thanks for the reminder, but Norwich is much cheaper to get to than a day in London.
I could even drive up to Norwich, I'm not that far away.

I'd hope you were a lot longer than a 40 minute ride though hun

If you get off early, and still have time to spend, walk east along the South Bank, go and see the Tate Modern. This has a mixture of great, great works and utter shite - which is which is purely down to your point of view!
(To give you an idea which side of the fence I sit on, the greatest event in British Art in a hundred years was the Momart Fire).
Then walk north over the Millenium Bridge (I was at University with one of the main deigners) to St Pauls, and get on the Central Line to the Woodford Social Drinkies!

I always go to the Tate Modern when I'm in the area, I love it.

Is that the average time for it to go full circle?
