Manchester Social Night - TOMORROW!
Well, that's totally the wrong approach on this forum. It's not a matter of replying to things to get your post count up... chatting on here is a way to get to know people. If you are not prepared to do that, the social nights are not your cup of tea anyways, cos they are all about chatting, socialising, and doing pretty much what we do on here (talk crap) but in real life. (They are NOT about meeting for sex, as the details I will send out in a few days will clarify.) If you don't want to do that online, you won't want to do that in real life, I guess

I agree that that's the wrong approach and that's really what I was trying to say. Is someone with 100 posts (all saying that they cannot make whatever meet), more likely to attend than another with 5 posts who can genuinely make it?
A tough call, I know. I don't envy any moderator on any forum or site who has take the crap when someone doesn't like their decisive action. You do a fine job for possibly little thanks. So here is my thanks now.

As to my cup of tea - strong, no sugar please. I realise that the social night is exactly that - a social meeting. That's why I was more determined to make that one. I don't have the opportunity to chat on-line as much as I would like, so I would prefer a real life chat-room.
I will still look out for possible future meets (am I using the wrong term maybe?) and try again if the date/time are OK.

That's not a tough call at all, as far as I'm concerned. Someone who had made 100 posts, all saying they could not make a meet would have not contributed anything to the forum, no-one would know them, therefore they would not be invited to any social meet I organise. It isn't up to the moderators to say who gets invited to any social meet, it is up to the individual who is organising it. Therefore, I am saying NO to you as the meet organiser, not as a moderator.
To me, the decision is simple.... someone who has contributed to the forum gets an invite, anyone who has not contributed, does not. What's tough about that?
