If this is sucessfull there will be more socials in the future. A small buffet will be provided. Bring your own alcohol, can purchase soft drinks. Dress code - Chams usual towel ( provided) or sexies. Please remember this is first time we have been invited to hold social at club so be respectfull, follow the rules and have fun and we may get invited again. Just a small point. It's not really a munch if it's in a swingers club, because a swingers club isn't really a neutral environment. Your 'do' would be more like a private party, I think. From the terminology section: 'What's a Munch? A munch is a purely social event held in a totally neutral environment, often somewhere like a pub, where members of Swinging Heaven get to meet each other. As there's no play involved everyone can relax which gives newbies a chance to ask questions of the more experienced without any fear of getting jumped on, and gives the regulars time to catch-up with old friends and make new ones.'

In reply to fecklebird yes chams is a swinging club but there is no pressure on anyone there to do anything, a lot of people go there to socialise and if they wish to arrange to do anything with someone they do. Altho the dress code is different to normal socials there is no expectation that individuals have to indulge in any activities of any kind. You make what you want of the night there, its a good place for meeting people and relaxing in an adult atmosphere. Anyone else who has frequented chams at any time whether it be for a social arranged through the sight in the past or on a personal level i'm sure will 100% agree with me on this Annie
i totally agree with annie ........ ive been there soooooooooooo many times now an not touched another person i spend all night talking an meeting people its very laid back un pressured and chilled out place to meet an get to know people .. spot on annie .. well said!!!!!!!!!!!!
Si has just also come up with a good point, when socials are held in public venues you often find yourself encountering non SH members who frequently ask questions like where are you from ... why are you here.... some people find this uncomfortable and get put off by these questions. You cannot spend the whole of your time without at some point meeting joe bloggs from the local boozer who inevitably is going to be nosey and want to know where all these strangers are from, a lot of the venues have shared facilities you have to use. Being in a venue like chams everyone there is from the swinging scene and its a more comfortable evnironment with no awkward questions to explain away Well considered Si xxx

To a newbie that might seem like a daunting thought. We found Chams to be quite a high-pressured environment. My point was that a munch is supposed to be held in a neutral environment, which Chams clearly isn't, regardless of how little pressure exists. It's not going to be a purely social event because it's in a swingers club. So, it would be better billed as a private party.
A munch is for sh members solely, socials the term i used is not as long as the oraganiser is aware that non sh members will be there....as there prob would be at chams. As anyone that knows of chams will be aware that during the week the club is much quieter and far more relaxed so it in not the same sort of 'high pressure' environment you refer to as it is on a Friday or Saturday. As for newbies a munch can be just as daunting a place to go if you have never been before meeting lots of new people for the first time. The venue is not the main reason for this post anyways...its to gauge peoples interest into who would be interested in attending a social on a MIDS SOCIAL on a thursday night. It would be a relatively cheap night as you take your own alcohol if you wish to drink, and only purchase soft drinks..tea/coffee...or food there.
we would be interested and we are newbies very daunting but we know mates like annie and si, furbs tilly and everyone we speak to in the mids room will be there to make us a comfortable the venue isnt the problem its meeting for the first time sorry to piss on your parade Also having the venue at chams with peeps you know makes it easier for you to gauage if its the place for you or not go have a look around and knowing your mate are there and only your mates will make it easier and we are speaking from experiance we are newbies and not sure if its the place for us or just stick to meets much less pressure if the place is filled with your mate so go ali i think its an excellent idea
No point arguing the toss as to wheter its a munch or a social it is a social gethering of swingers in a swingers club where you are free to do as much or as little as you choose. The first time i went to chams was to a social gathering with sh peeps and it was the most relaxed way of going to a club for the first time surrounded by people you know and whos company you enjoy. If you dont fancy it you dont have to come there is no pressure on anyone lets remember swinging is fun not arguing and fighting there is already enough of that in this world. so if you want fun company please add your name to list if you have another adjenda dont bother.

Hi Mids xx, If you manage to sort it then I will definately cum lol xx. I'm a member anyway x, I think it would be great as people can just socialize or if they wanted a bit more sexcitement go for a wander and see what happens, its a great venue and I dont think newbies would find it daunting as there are lots of people on SH who will look after them one way or another lol x.
