am pretty new to this too and hav'nt had any luck in dorset maybe i should move eh like russia or something...lol
There is unlikely to ever be a munch held in Dorset fo the simple reason that when a couple of "meet for drinks" nights were arranged recently, only a handful of people bothered to come along confused
If people don't want to come along to a local pub for an hour or two, what hope is there of organising a local munch for a large amount of folks who simply won't turn up rolleyes
Apathy is alive and kicking in Dorset and Hampshire :?

You're right Bill and the first drinks night was also a good laugh. My point is that there are lots of local members on these boards.
They whinge and whine about nothing going on down here and then when something is organised, do they bother to come along? Do they heck! confused
When these drinks nights were planned the people who organised them were quite disappointed with the response, although I hope not with those of us who came along  lol
Perhaps things will liven up during the warmer months, although I won't be holding my breath :?

it's all very well to say you will come, but we all know that last minute emergencies, can, and will crop up,..BUT, that doesn't mean to say you can't let someone know, or make your apologies by way of the forum the next day or so.
I can't see any disappointment being with the ones who turned up.. hopefully the good and positive comments after those drinks nights might make those that didn't come..wish they had !! And make more of an effort to attend the earliest one that they can.
Warmer months could bring a raft of new excuses, like having to take the kids to the beach, had an impromptu barbie at home.... am sure you can think of many more,
Bill
