Munching on your own

Ladies who have attended a munch or social on your own - could you let me know, either on here or via pm how it was for you.
I have my name down for 2 but I will be attending without a partner for the first time, and I am very nervous about it - to the point where I don't know what to do for the best.

as a single fem it is very helpful if u will be meeting chatroom/forum buddies there then at least u have some sort of comman friends to chat to. a munch is a very safe and secure enviroment to go to on your own. hope this helps

cherry hun... the most nervous bit is going to be walking thru the door... because as soon as are in the venue you know you are going to be surrounded by friends.....

Ive been to all munches/socials on my own!!
The first few I went to I didnt know anyone at all......it was nerve racking for me! But everyone was nice and friendly.
At the first one I did have a lovely hand-holder, who introduced to me peeps etc. Eventually I just plonked myself down at a table and asked if I could stay make myself at home :grin: Dont know where I got the cheek from lol

Im not normally so forward!
Eventually as I got to know people I knew that I would know someone to talk to at a munch/social and it got a little better!!
At the next munch im going to, I dont know anyone going! So I feel a little nervous about that...:lol:
Im just going to dance my butt of though and carry on and enjoy myself!
If Im at a munch your going to!! Make sure you come and say hiya, have a natter and get up on the dance floor with me!! Your always welcome :kiss:

Thanks guys. I'm so used to having someone with me, it's scary - Im scared of imposing myself on anyone, scared of anyone thinking they have to look after me, scared of those moments when everyone is talking to everyone else and I'm sitting looking around like a lemon, etc

We've met you at previous Munches and we're going to at least one of the same autumn Munches as you. Just for the record, it's a delight to be with you, alone or not. No question of imposition, looking after you - and you certainly never look like a lemon!

I was down for a social without Joe, and the thought of walking in on my own was terrifying :shock: so I arranged to meet someone else who was going beforehand for a drink and we walked in terrified together instead lol

Seriously though, it is quite frightening when you havent got your partner there at first to make you feel safe but after about 10 minutes of being there, you'll wonder what all the worrying was about.
