We have been to several swinging events as a couple in the last year; some at clubs and at a private party and we have found that they lack something; they are not very erotic or even very sexy!
We have found these swinging events to be unfocussed with lots of distracting noise of people chatting and wandering around just looking. They are not designed to build and focus a group erotic energy. They also don’t seem to use the body through dance or massage to raise energy or engage the senses; even candles, music and incense, are often lacking.
From our experience of workshops we would like to experience something different, and so want to write down our vision to see if it resonates with you. If it does, then let us know and when we find enough people we will run an event at our house – we have a very large suitable room and a hot tub! The intention is to be safe, focussed, honouring, building the group erotic energy together.
In brief this is what we would like to be part of and run.
• We envisage a group of 8-12 people (including us). It is easier if they are couples so six couples maximum.
• Enough time so we don’t have to go very late into the night - so more than just an evening. Perhaps starting late afternoon with the possibility of staying overnight.
• Only a small quantity of alcohol (a glass or two of wine maximum) so that people can stay aware and sensitised. Also no strong artificial perfumes or aftershaves.
• One space for everyone to be in (so no disappearing into rooms) ie mattresses put together on the floor. With erotic background music, incense, flowers etc. We have the space and the equipment!
• Starting all together at one time and ending together.
• As with all swinging, “No” means no; and “Stop” means stop. Awareness and energy need to go together.
• An agreed programme & person to sense the energy and facilitate the event (Leo & Aqua as master of ceremonies)
There are at least two possible levels of activity:
1. A programme based on: opening circle together, then dance, then group massage, then moving in to sexual/erotic play together in the same space.
2. A deeper more ritual level where we start with chanting all together in a circle, then dance together then all the men sitting in the centre and the women dancing around them, then women in the centre and the men dance around them, then women all lie down in a star shape with their heads close together and blindfolded, then the men move around chanting and stimulating the women with hands and tongues and worshipping this mandala of the goddess. Finally genital penetrative sex with your own partner only in this formation so the sexual energy builds up. The reason own partner only for this is we think it would be best for everyone there to have the same basic agreement – this avoids individual negotiating which gets back to the personal level and away from the group energy. It also makes hygiene issues easier. So we suggest the basic rule is genital/genital sex only with your own partner; everything else with anyone. (Of course after the structure ends then couples can agree and do what they like). We are trying to create something different from the usual party or club free-for-all.
We suggest that initially we go for the first level. It helps if some of the participants have some experience of meditation, yoga or tantra or are at least willing to give a try to a more focussed, ritualised, group swinging experience.
We want to do this to experience it, and use our experience of energy work and group energy together. It isn’t commercial. Are you interested? If so contact us and lets discuss it and see if we can find enough people for a date to swing!
