Hi all I have access to a new club in Lancashire that is fully licensed and has catering facilities. The owner is looking to expand the use of the club and is also interested in swinging so has given me the task of seeing if there is any interest in using the club for social events to start with leading on to fun nights if there is enough interest. This would be a true swingers club for swingers, run by swingers. The club is near Haslingden so please if there is any interest let me know. rob
OK so a quick google map search shows me that it is not far from Blackburn. Might I suggest that you organise a Vanilla meet at the venue so that people can have a look at what is on offer, the club can look at the numbers that might be interested and socials are quite easy to organise without any great expense to those attending or those hosting it. An "overheads" cost of £5 per couple, single male, single fem is reasonable to ask to cover bar staff/DJ costs and depending on numbers perhaps even a light buffet.
We would not rule out attending but it would depend on when and who else was going, why not set up a thread and test the water to see who might be interested, pick a suitable date (that's important if you hope to get anyone interested) the date and other details can be changed as you get more information from those interested. Perhaps pick a couple of dates and see which suits the most people, tell them what's on offer ie music, dancing, vanilla games (I know some great games that can be played in vanilla venues with your clothes on but get a party going and people chatting to each other and I am sure others know more) buffet ? raffle, kareoke (yea I know its spelt wrong), parking facilities, local overnight accommodation etc.
Keep the messages coming please I would like to get at least 10 couples and 10 singles interested then organise a social meet at the club and take it from there.
Rob you'll get a better response if you gave people some focus, ie set a date and actually organise an event. By just asking for interest like this you're getting responses from people who might not even be able to make the date you set, however the responses you doget will be more accurate as people will be making arrangements to attend, like babysitters, shift changes, transport and accommodation. They can also see who else is attending and make an informed decision as to whether they want to go. If you set a date and arrange an event and no-one wants to go you'll then know it's not right for here, but the other side of the coin could be that it's a rampant success and things will move forward. Same here around the date, as not able to say if we would be interested without knowing what it is and when. Also perhaps you could add some more information around about the place itself?
