An experience of mine might help you. I had an ad on another site last year looking for couples. I was answered by a lovely couple in the same county. It was their first foray into swinging and they wanted to explore A's bi-curiosity. After the exchange of emails and photos we agreed to meet up for an initial drink to see if the chemistry was right.
We had a lovely evening with a bottle of wine and got on very well. The chat was kept quite neutral, but it ended with them inviting me to their home on another occasion. Having met them I was happy to do this and spent a wonderful night with them both. We met a second time after that and have remained in contact.
All I would suggest is that you take it slowly, be absolutely sure that this is something you want to do, and have a vanilla meet first in a pub. You can then decide between you how you wish to proceed.

The advice you left is duely noted. In answer to your question we are sure that this is something we'd like to do, we had a one of MMF experience a few years ago and would like to try the FFM experience now as we both find the idea intoxicating.
We're hoping to cut past all the timewasting which appears to be a problem, after looking at the various adds and the forum.
It's important that we have fun and get on with the right person so we'd like to meet and as you so aptly put it check that the chemestry is there.
I just hope that we can realise our mutual fantasy and look forward to some responses.
Any advice from people who managed to organise a similar meeting would be most welcome
