Newcastle Sat 9th May 2009 Night Out - Who fancies it?

We're officially moving next week and since it's Mr Lips' birthday Sat 9th, would like to take him for a night on the town in Newcastle.
As we'll have just got here (we're moving for good on the 7th), don't know any likemided people yet but would be great if we could get together with some couples (and singles so long as not just single blokes wanting to come) for a social night of fun. We wish we'd come up earlier when you guys had a social on but we missed it - always the way! Just want a good laugh round town - it's always better with a good bunch of people, hope you'll agree and come along!
Or if you can't come but would like to give us tips of where to go, then that'd be great too! 11 years have nearly passed since I've lived up here and would be good to know where's best to go these days.
