please confirm now .. this will give 4 weeks to confirm and the remaining 2 weeks will be for any on the reserve list a chance to get their names on the list if there is room ... any new names added to the list past my post on page 9 will be added to the reserve list and will be contacted by mail on here as to whether they made the list at least 2 weeks prior to the event
The north Wales summer holidays is now booked for Saturday,July 11th 2009 and will be in a private venue, within a mile and a half of Colwyn bay Town Centre.
The Munch is open to all members of the site who are regulars in either the forums or the chat room and who joined before 31st April 2009. However, should places still be available nearer to the time, I will open this up to others who joined the site after this date so long as they have become regular posters or chatters in their own right.
We have swing friendly DJ for the night, the theme for the evening will be a summer holiday and you can come along either in fancy dress appropriate to the theme or "normal" clothes if you feel more comfortable.
There will be a door charge of £3 to attend the Munch; I have had to pay for the DJ and food... Any money that is remaining will be given to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. (All receipts will be kept for proof of outgoings and will be available to anyone who wishes to inspect them).
A list of local hotels is available so people can book early and I will include details of local taxi companies. Details of the venue will not be sent out to anyone until a few days before the Munch in order to protect everyone who is attending and to make sure we do not have any uninvited guests.
