hi bob and kerry would love to hear about the meet we are new to scene we tried holding a party last fiday but everyone who was due to come dropped out so best way would be for us to go to party.

If it's in Sunderland, and it's a social get-together, and it's not when work is insanely busy, count me in. It would be nice to meet some of the lovely people here.
Quick update:
We now have 38 confirmed attendees and 36 others that have expressed an interest. I appreciate that there are still a couple of weeks to go but if people can let me know asap (either way) then it makes it easier for both me and the landlord of pub concerned.
I've been in touch with the hotel again and they are fast running out of rooms........they only have 1 standard double and 2 disabled doubles left.
I'll keep people up to date with the list as and when I get the info.

Everybody who uses the chatroom knows who you are and you're a valued member of the community in there.
I can understand your concerns but this is a social meet and there's an open invitation for everybody that uses the site. It's an opportunity for people to meet and to show others who they are.
I'll leave it to your own judgement (but I'd remind you that we're meeting in a pub.......not the foyer of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show")

There sure are!! Far more than I anticipated when I picked the venue.....it's only a small pub, it's definitely gonna be "cosy" in there
To keep you all up to date we have a possible:
25 couples (11 already confirmed)
11 single girls (8 already confirmed)
19 single guys (7 already confirmed)
So that's anywhere between 37 and 80 people :shock:

Oh poo! I can`t make the Munch, worse luck, as I`m orf skiing for two weeks starting 10th jan. :cry:

I think most of those views and replies have probably been from me trying to keep track of what's going on so don't go handing out any gongs just yet.
We've got just over 50 confirmed attendees so far with another 20 or so waiting in the wings. From the feedback I've had we've got more than 16 rooms booked in the local hotels and more than half of those rooms are in one particular hotel. The maid in that hotel will probably remember the night of 10th January for longer than we do.
There are only 8 days to go and some time over the next few days I'll be letting everyone know the venue. I've had to keep the venue under wraps not just for the obvious reasons but also because I need to keep a handle on the numbers. I've been keeping the landlord of the pub up to date with the number attending and he's prepared for us. We'll be made to feel most welcome and he's not gonna run out of beer!

I'm really looking forward to getting all these people in the same place at the same time and I know it's gonna be a great night before it's even started!
