Seems that Steve_D has decided there is enough interest to hold a munch in the London area (good luck with it steve) so how about having a get together in the North West? I've asked the question in the chatroom and there is some genuine interest. It will be a good opportunity for people to meet and have a chat without any of the pressure. I can't see it happening this side of Christmas so how about 10th or 17th January in either Manchester or Bolton? Suggestions and preferrences welcomed but we need to be discrete about the actual date and location.
Steve You may have noticed on another thread about a 'room meet' held last week in Swinton. Although it was arranged mainly for people from another site, it was well attended and bloody good fun!! Definitely enough interest up our way, Steve and we can chat about it later. Mal

Its a great idea steve we will be there sounds like fun i ve heard about these meets before on other sites and they always seem to be good it would be good to have a few drinks and meet some new faces as well .

I know it is not in my area but seeing as a lot of the people I have had fun corresponding with are in the NW I would still be interested. Sadly, Saturdays are not good days for me but I do understand that that is when most people are more available. Keep me posted as I would certainly like to come along if I am available.

Ok, definitely some genuine interest from here and the feedback from the chatroom is good as well. I’ll contact everyone that expresses an interest by PM (so by default registered users of the site only) and between us we’ll come up with the most suitable venue and date. Feel free to openly discuss it in here and/or the chatroom and if you come across any other interested parties then by all means point them in my direction. Please be discrete about the chosen venue though.
General feedback I’ve had so far has been good and almost everyone responding is happy with Sat 10th January. All the Christmas and New Year hangovers should have subsided by then and as long as everybody isn’t too skint after the festivities it will be a good way to dispel the normal lethargy that sets in (and the pub shouldn’t be too busy to hold a conversation). The suggested venue (West Manchester) also seems to be getting the thumbs up but I’ll have to confirm it with the Landlord/Landlady before I can be sure (I don’t think it will be a problem though). I won’t name the location in the forum but I will keep you apprised and should be able to give confirmation in the next few days. It’s early days but the response so far has been good. The North West munch seems to be well and truly off the ground!
Steve Just a general admin query. Hotel accommodation in the area? I know some may travel some distance and may want to have a beer or two. Do you know any decent hotels in the area? I know I don't have so far to travel myself, but I prefer to stop over. Perhaps a straw poll from those attending to see if there is a need. Mal
You're more than welcome to join in Mr & Mrs BlueEyes. The venue isn't finalised yet but when it is I'll check for hotels in the area. Travel Inns and Ibis are usually favourites. There is an Ibis in Salford that has a special rate of £35 per room at weekends. It's room only but you're only paying for the room and not per person so it's quite good value.
