OK I NEED ADVICE FROM ALL OF THE SH TEAM

Right here we go, I have been really unlucky sofar, I missed the Munch in Scotland due to work which I was really looking forward to and after reading the reviews I am even more sick. I have tried to be a gentleman when I have posted my adds but I have had no
interest so I am beginning to think that this is not for me or maybe I need some guidance
or maybe a guide dog lol

Maybe you could try posting on the forum more? You've been on almost a year and have 31 posts to your name - people on here may feel they don't know much about you.
I appreciate that posting more isn't always an option but if the ad hasn't worked, maybe getting known on the forum might be worth a try?

Fair point but I am not always in the uk I travel all over the world so this can be difficult

OK Freckle, take your point, but even posting here is no guarrentee of Sucess. I think that it is important to get out there to the Munches, or even the Clubs and try to actually meet people. I have been trying for ages, but my problem is one of not being photogenic, therefore getting no response to adds, but personality wise, I seem to get on well with folks.
Not easy trying to pour personality in to posts on here.

I agree, and I did say that it's not always an option. However, this site is one of those where the more you put in, the more you get out of it (for most people anyway). Maybe Numnum's problems have been to do with not being in the country? If he's not here, he can't meet anyone?
Sorry to point this out guys, but it iskind of limiting your chance of success by not actually being in the country.

Hi Mate
It takes time, I have had success with MFM and MF contacts all from this site. I have not seen your ad, but to talk about mine I took my time writing it ensured the spelling is correct and tried to put myself in the place of a couple or female looking. I am not saying its perfect but it gets a response and the thing most people say is the fact that, they seem like the words of a genuine person.
Like you am better with people face to face than via email but people are using forums, ads, photos as their first means of selection so a good photo I think is vital get it out there and let people be the judge not you and a well written ad.
The forum is also good I only use it on occasions but have struck up a few contacts which I maintain quite regularly with the odd email or call whether there is a meet imminent or not.

I know where ur coming from dude! it is hard starting and then it just doesn't get any betta.... you put ur self pout there as a bloke posting pix on the ad's just to be knocked off the front page within 10mins as there are so many blokes! when you look at the females looking males theres 5 pages and on the males looking for fems theres 200 pages... its imposible! just to add the occasional e-mail you do get is from someone just looking for pix! let me knoe if u get any luck do?

its a matter of waiting ....i had an ad up for almost a year now....refreshed it every couple of days..still nothing....then suddendly in a metter of last two weeks I have had 5 replies...bit like the buses all coming along together...and whats more 3 have led to meets and fun.....so simple answer is yes it can work, but you do have to be prepared to hang around and wait.

Any Single male who trys to tell you that they get loads of responses to thier advert, either male looking for fems or couples, is quite frankly, talking out of his back side, (just being polite there) and basicly trying to promote himself,( look at me i must be so good ) Ive spoken to many people on this site over the last twelve months, and mainly single males get absolutly nothing back from an advert bar from the odd one or two replys over a long period of time.
The reason most couples and single fems dont trawl thru the thousands of men seeking adverts, is well quite frankly, they dont have too, it would take ages and all they have to do is place an advert, and they get the deluge of replys.
My advice if to you, is yes keep your advert on, update it on a regular basis, so it keeps it as near the top as possible, sometimes when you reply to an advert the couple or fem ask for your advert number, you have fallen at the first hurdle if you havnt got one.
But as a single male you are the one who has to do all the work, reply to adverts that appeal to you and above all BE BLOODY HONEST.
And let the guys who say i get loads of responce to my advert, look as stupid as most experienced people on here, recognise. Prats. rolleyes
