Hi there PLC after seeing that poly40 is up for bowling can i put our names forward please? We may not be able to make some things at VERY short notice, but we are up for a good giggle anytime. Mind you if we do go for a curry..........PLEASE for god's sake show poly40 where the rice is for her curry 1'st, before you show her where the bar is, as she sometimes loses where things are, when it comes to rice and curries. :silly: :crazy:

All the events I have previously organised have been for cples only. However recently we have had a few single male / single femmes pairing up for the day/evening and this has seemed to work OK. To be honest, I think any single on their own would feel a bit left out, as these are primarily social events, however I am willing to stand corrected if wrong. I suppose I am happy enough to go with the flow. If all the peeps that we usually invite are happy, then so am I. Stick your name in as interested and we will see what haps. PLC xxx69xxx

Can I put my name down as well then please. Obviously my current circumstances mean that I either find out at the very last minute that I have a night off, or I have to plan ages in advance. I gatecrashed one of the bowling nights a while ago though and didn't feel left out as a single (although Little Gem did come with me) so I'd have no worries about turning up on my own.... I've met most of the north west posse now anyway I think!

Tell you wot. Get your own back and organise a singles only event and don't invite any couples! To be honest, we have been doing these social meets now for well over 2 years. I started them in another chat room that we all know and love, and I have carried on with them here. They have always been kept low key and couples-only, as the couples that we tend to knock about with are also only interested in other couples. We also frequently end up at each others houses after the events as well, which is another reason why they have all been invitation only events. I actually stopped organising them for a few months and I have had loads of pressure to start them up again. This post is primarily to see if any others are interested in joining in, or to see if anyone has some new ideas for days/nights out without all the formality of an organised in advance 'munch'. The one we are out on tonight for example was arranged only 3 or 4 days ago. That is also the reason why I have aimed it primarily at North West peeps, though we have in the past had people from the midlands coming up at very short notice. Some people are just born socialisers .
