Hi All, I am arranging a social of a different kind, Paintballing. This is open to anyone who thinks they are man/woman enough to spend a day in the woods and shoot paint at each other. So the what, where's why for's... Where.. Warped Paintball, Cosford. It's located on the M54, J3. Located just off the roundabout heading towards Albrighton. The site is 100+ acres, with various scenarious including signal post, Mai Lai village and Bio Hazard. What.. The day will start at the site approx 9am, everyone arriving (hopefully) at the same time. After registering, getting kitted up and having a safety brief we will then spend the day shooting the crap out of each other, playing through approx 11-12 games of 10-15 mins each and then ending the day sharing war stories. The day will end approx Lunch is provided along with all necessary kit. However, for those that may own their own kit, you will be able to bring this with you. Cost.. Camo gear, goggles, gun, lunch and 500 paintballs - all day Camo gear, goggles, gun, lunch and 1000 paintballs - all day More paint and pyro's (including smoke and paint grenades) can be purchased at the site. So if any of you feel brave enough to sign up then put your name down. A £10 deposit will need to be paid 2 weeks before game day, you can contact the warped office and pay over the phone, simply stating my name and date as the group organiser ( ). If you wish to send the deposit to me for me to pay, then please message me for details. If you are only paying a deposit, then the remainder of the balance will need to be brought on the day. Warped paintball policy is that the £10 deposits are non-refundable. Therefore if you have paid you deposit and are unable to make it on the day, you will lose the £10. Warped website.... General info/advice.. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Boots or old trainers. Maybe take a change of clothes with you, just incase you fall in the river. Any vegetarians need to inform Warped when ringing to book as they will then arrange for a vegeterian lunch. So .. i invite one and all to come and join me in the woods. I love paintballing and think the opportunity to combine a social with it is a great idea. I'd deffo be up for this - not sure how many others will be though, but then agin not everyone is an adrenaline junkie.
I won't be in the area, but you are in for a good day out. Warped are a very well known company in UK paintball. They also run the UKs largest paintball game over a weekend. A little advice - getting hit by paintballs does hurt, but only for a moment. If you sit at the back hiding you will find it hurts more when you get hit. Take a moment to run around like an idiot and get the adrenaline running and you will feel nothing. Everything that is essential will be supplied, but I recommend wearing fingerless gloves. Wear comfortable clothing in layers. You will be supplied with overalls but they won't provide any padding. Something like a t-shirt and a sweatshirt will give you plenty of protection under the overalls. A little scarf is handy to protect your neck. Good footwear is essential. High heels look good but are not ideal for running in the woods. Spare clean clothes are essential for the journey home, and some wet wipes will always come in handy for a freshen up. As shown in the prices expect to use 500 paintballs if you like to sneak around, but allow for 1,000 for a good shootout. You will often see tickets being sold at £10 for a days paintball but then people get a shock when they use all their 'free' paint in the first game. Rockcpluk have wisely shown the realistic cost. If you want a little more paint on the day then get together with others and buy about 1000 at a time - that way you will get the best cost.
Damn! We would have loved to do this but Mr P is already playing that weekend. Would have been a cracking weekend away. The warped guys know their stuff and it's a great site you should have much fun!!! As has already been said... Don't sit back it's the worst thing you can do and club together to buy paint you'll get a better deal.

Lol.. that would be interesting to see. Thank you for your post. Glad others have used the site and can verify how good it is rather than just taking my word for it. Hopefully you will be available for the next paintball get together.
