I'm in the same position, seeking that elusive 'scottish connection', but if Glasgow's where the party scene is at, I ain't found it yet (but then, only really started looking ...)

there is quite a big scottish contigent on this site!
We recently held a Scottish munch in Glasgow.. which was a brilliant turnout
and fantastic night!
people also came up from afar as London . Essex. Machester. sheffield :D to be there :P
not sure when the next one will be arranged!!.. watch this space

Hmm. Maybe we ought to kind of figure out roughly how many of us there are in glasgow/edinburgh (simply because that's where the majority of the population would lie), and er, do something about it ...!

unfortunatly in Scotland theres no such thing as a sexual orientated club here,which is a pity really cause there are plenty of scots swingers around,the nearest we can find is in Carlisle which unfortunatly is a 2 hr drive,only option ppl have in Scotland to meet is thru sites like ,there are organised meets(purely sociable) ty lucyweebabs,of course there is also the adverts which may intrest u but u have to trawl thru all the English ads first is a big swinging scene in Scotland but unfortunatly u have to make arrangements thru internet clubs/forums :cry:

Now I may be wrong here 'cause it's been known to happen ( No Honestly!!) but,
I reckon that it was an EXCEPTIONALLY good mix of singles, both male and female, and couples at the recent Glasgow Munch.
I certainly didn't see any out numbering by single guys but would be interested in knowing if my perceptions were wrong.
Perhaps it's just that so many of us are like one big happy family and single or "coupled" status doesn't make any difference to the way we behave in company.

I take the points about the munches being well-attended etc and I enjoyed the one I went along to (disappointed I didn't make the last one - only just getting over the man flu thing!), BUT it seems that less formal meets are fewer on the ground up here: "mini-munches", I suppose for people to go along to and put faces to names.
I don't know if there's any mileage in a monthly/bi-monthly "get together".

Totally agree with you Laird.. although there was single guys and single fems at the Glasgow munch the majority was couples - everyone did mingle well just like one big happy family! the atmosphere was brilliant ... munches are sociable events as most of you know they are open to all regular users of SH
