Carol & I haven't received the hotel list by PM yet (tho we're on the list) - could you send it to us please? Also if you can advise what is nearest (inexpensive), as we will probably be using public transport (nearest travel lodge would be ideal) - Ta!!

The venue is open from 7 pm till 1 am.. and holds up to 150 people
At my last count there is 97 peeps going biggrin

Ok folks..We are going to have to draw a line here for the time being on single guys getting an invite !! rolleyes

We need to try even it up with some single females and couples, I will keep a reserve list for any more single males wishing to attend, Just until it evens out a bit....
Then I will be happy to start adding again...So please try to be a patient if your looking for an invite...

Since when have we ever had to balance out Couples, single guys and girls at a Munch? The only criteria is that they joined before a certain date, not whether they have a partner or not. This does not go along with the spirit of a Munch, Lucy.

but I can see both sides here. Lucy (IMO) was maybe trying to achieve a fairly normal working balance. If you had a 'munch' with 50 single guys and one couple, it would become something very different to what was really intended.
If you interpret the 'definition' literally, it could be impossible for an organiser to have a munch at all, as there could eventually be more active participants wanting to come than the room booked would hold. Admittedly this isn't the case yet, but I think a balance has to be struck between an organiser's organising and a strict (and fairly arbitrary) definition.
The definition also says, "nothing is set in stone, so make sure you read the Munch post carefully to find out what to do in each case."
The objective, as far as I can see, is to create a balanced environment of swingers and newbies from the Forum. Of course you could just have a 'Forum meeting' where people discuss the forum, but I for one enjoy meeting other swingers socially and a few other peeps who are interested in learning more - a balance. If you had a munch where only newbies attended, or a massive number of single guys and no ladies, you could meet the criteria and lose the point.
Good on the Mod for drawing attention to the letter of the 'rules', but let's keep the overall vibe intact. If you have to modify the rules to give a Munch organiser a tinsy bit of discretion then maybe that would be worth considering too?
