social to meet the SHmeditor, Annie

After reading the Wigan munch thread, I was pondering about arranging a social for people who would like to meet Annie? What do you guys n gals think? This would be for her to see a social & for people to ask questions. Social rules would apply.
please note that this is only an idea at present. if there are a few that would be interested then I shall arrange something

Does the SHM know she 'might' be required to attend this if it gets off the ground?

Perhaps it stems from the fact that the Ed has been so secretive dunno

She has had lots of time to give a Bio and has said nothing.....
Makes people very suspicious....
One other thing strikes me as well....
Why would folk wonder if the Ed had been approached about this yet show no interest in attending rolleyes

Perhaps they were wondering whether the SHM actually knew about this and whether she actually responded or whether the PM was sent but not yet read, bearing in mind this was only thought up on a Saturday evening. Surely it would make sense that we knew that she had agreed to it and where it was likely to take place (roughly) before committing to anything.

this is only an idea to see if people would be interested. Yes I have pm'd her & no I have not had a response as yet.
Doesn't look like anyone is interested though but will give it till Monday to let you know if i shall be organising anything.

If she IS interested in the idea.... and I hope she would be... then a better idea might be for her to post an invitation thread herself?
That way she could say a bit about herself, what she'd be hoping to get from such a meeting, maybe give some of her initial thought about how SHM might take shape, etc, etc....
Then people would know what they were really being invited to, and if they couldn't go - but had some views - they could respond in a different way.
It seems a bit odd (to me at least) to be discussing a meeting with someone, when they themselves may not have the faintest idea that there's something planned...
But I'm very experienced in missing the point... confused

Just to let you all know that I have had a pm back from Annie to say that she would rather wait till later on in the year maybe after the second edition of publishing the mag before she meets people so there will not be a social organised by me at the min

And if she isn't a real swinger and just admin well thats prob your answer too

yes i would like to have met her...if i was going to the Wigan Munch, it wouldn't have been a problem for me to meet her there.....i would have respected the organiser of that event for making the right call!
