My first ever swinging encounter!
last night, I washed a pair of trousers, a shirt, boxers etc - by hand - ironed them this-morning; re-scheduled my whole day. drove fourty mile or so on bitterly cold day, got stuck in several traffic jams etc etc...
For what? For someonen (a sicko) who obviously gets some kind of kick out stringing folk along - someone who had no intention of meeting me!

I am of two minds here - and one of them is Tough! If that is how you react to a no-show.
You have no rights - no matter what anyone agrees with you. Courtesy is expected - yes. But you have no rights to demand people go through with anything.

we have all had our fair share of time wasters...for some it is coz they get off on it (married or sad men) don't they know there are BETTER THINGS IN LIFE OR DON'T THEY WISH TO LIFE A LITTLE (A LOT) other's it is coz they are not sure if you are going too turn up! so if they get another offer and its 100% .......they go with the flow! we all like going with the flow! 
recently i couldn't get too a social and i felt bad about it
.......as i so so wanted too go too see new friends and the nice lady but couldn't, i sent an e-mail to let the lady know i was having trouble with hotel's etc. and another when i knew i couldn't make it and also another the next day too give my apologies ........respect cost nothing in life, if someone is kind enough to place you on their invite list surly it is only right you should respect them.
i am now always making sure i plan ahead! :wink:

I thought my comments were quite constructive and non judgemental - if someone is going to meet a "couple" from here it's always a good idea to speak to bothof them before hand to make sure they are actually a couple.

i'm a service engineer, people phone me and make appointments for me to visit them because they need something fixing, i offer what most people see as a good level of service in that i respond same day/next day and am usually able to offer them a two hour time slot in which i will attend and yet i still get a small percentage of people not in when i get there in which case i always leave a card to say i'd called
on one occasion i had gone out of my way to try and help someone yet when i arrived there was no one home, i was extremely annoyed and left a rather sarcastic note. later that day i received a phone call from someone i know well explaining to me that the person i had just flamed was their daughter in law and her young child had had an accident and she'd shot off to a and e in a panic.
the result of this is that i now try and avoid condemning peoples actions without knowing the full facts, the only facts i know so far is that you didn't show at a social because you were at home doing your washing and you didn't even have the courtesy to inform the organisers.
