Ah right... strangely enough someone was on at me about that this weekend.
The terminology for sending random unsolicited messages over bluetooth is BlueJacking as explained here:
As you can only send a message over a maximum of 10 meters and its hard enough to find bluetooth enabled phones set to recieve I don't see it replacing dogging any time soon.
However it might be fun for people who go dogging to try bluejacking whilst sat in their cars.
So far when it comes to regular plain vanilla bluejacking I have yet to get a reaction from any recipients... although I have sent a few messages :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
Wouldn't want to ask for random sex tho... the close proximity to the recipient makes the likelyhood of a slap rather high

Interesting wired news article... I think a lot of that is the journalists trying to hype something up a bit.
Having tried normal bluejacking out, I can safely say I have met nobody... and the 10meter restriction generaly screws up most chances of being able to return a message as people move out of range quickly.
Its something that sounds nice in theory... but the limitations of the technology seriously screw up the practice.
I don't deny that lots of people are having anonymous sex on the train back from london... most of them look like they could do with a good shag.
