Trillians Newcastle on Friday

I'm going to be at a bit of a loose end tomorrow night so thought I'd get off my behind and finally get around to checking out the (relatively) local rock/punk/metal scene. (Unless of course I get a better offer in the mean time, you never know. wink

) Trillians seems like as good a place as any to start, at least from what I've been told by other people, none of whom happen to be free tomorrow so I'm on my own.
Just wondering if there was a chance of bumping into anyone from SH if I do so? Or does anyone have a better suggestion as to where I should be going?

Trillions is a good place to start if you are wanting to try out that scene......Haymarket also has that type of pub......more my scene than the bigg market or the other trendy areas in town.
Hope you find someone to go with you and have lots of fun.

Cool, thanks for the info. I haven't really checked out any of the pubs/clubs in these parts yet despite living here for nearly two years, but figure I might as well give it a shot. If I'm not enjoying myself I can always head home and chill in front of the PC as usual, but I fancy a change and tomorrow seems as good a time as any.

You can find indie and punk music at the Head of Steam, across from the Railway Station. There's a metal bar around there somewhere too. Closer to the pink triangle, or there was one.

Have a good time, the only places I have been to on a holiday up there were Lord Chancellors Pub where I got attacked by a hen party on the dancefloor to love shack biggrin

and Reflex (80's bar) which doesn't sound like your cup of tea where I had a woman try to get my cock out on the dancefloor

Thanks, hopefully it should be fun, and if all else fails I can sit in the corner and discreetly perve at all the cute goths/rockers/punks etc.
I haven't suffered attention like that since I made the mistake of being on the Student Union dancefloor at the same time as the women's football team - not an experience I'd wish to repeat (the women's rugby team would have been a different matter, but there you go).
