has peoples interest to mee in clubs in the NW fizzled out. Their appears to be a lack of interest to meet in clubs at the love to know what peeps think
Called the credit crunch chum.....have you not noticed the huge drop in attendance generally at most clubs?
hiya
there is a meet in partners in may and june
and a meet in chams in may to
all advertised on the forums
thanks jo x
Not trying to start a debate. Simply observing that during a reccesion, money is tight. Swingers clubs, even pubs and cinemas are all getting lower attendances.
A swinging club does indeed seem like good value to us also....but we are not going as often as we used to because of financial constraints and I feel sure we are not alone.
Actually it was meant to be a flippant remark - one that failed clearly..
Too Hot is obviously not feeling the effects of a worldwide recession......perhaps some begging letters would be in order. But then the lowly peasants in this country, slithering out of our (what was it?) slimy, seedy, dirty swingers clubs are probably beneath contempt!
BTW. perhaps Too Hot should watch the news once in a while.....or perhaps wander down a high street and look at all the gaps where shops used to be!
Ok so a debate has almost started - perhaps a new topic - 'has the recession changed your frequency for going to clubs' May be in order.
setting it up is beyond my capabilites (as so much is) so over to someone else !
Begging letter greatfully recived - but also probably beyond my abilites ! - if dipper and Ice want to be accompanied to thier local one day then i am open to persuasion !
Yes.....well some people are suffering quite badly and both your posts come across as quite smug. Perhaps a bit of thought for those not swimming in cash?
Getting back on track.
We have met quite a few people recently who have never even been to a Club. They have arranged private meetings and parties but never set foot in a club.
Maybe there is a new breed of swinger around who don't go to clubs as much. Having said that there are always meets and parties being advertised at Townhouse, Partners and Chameleons. In fact looking through the first few pages of this section of the forum there are a multitude of Club meets and personally I don't recall there ever being more than there are at the moment. Perhaps it is in your area?
People are well travelled now and if you have been to many of the Clubs in Europe they are a different class to the majority of offerings in this country. Maybe people are just becoming more choosy? Certainly Chameleons is as busy as ever on a Friday & Saturday so they must be doing something right.
it has been an interesting thread so far... and I think both sides are right up to a point...
yes mortgage rates have gone down... but only people owning benefit from that...
petrol prices are down yes.... but council tax has gone up....... food has gone up... i got a pay freeze this year.. and i am sure that more people are putting money to one side just in case......
Swinging clubs are business' to and the ones that are "dirty, seedy and uninspiring places to visit" don't tend to last long.. or word gets around very quickly...
I had this converation with our local club owners and they are accutely aware of it at the moment...
I do think it is a great conversation though...
