We are thinking of going to xtasia on 10th July. We have however seen that the second Saturday of the month is fetish night. We are new to the scene and want a gentle introduction to it. Does anyone have experience of the fetish night, if so what proportion of people are in fetish wear and what proportion in casual clothes? We don't want to stick out like sore thumbs by being the only people in shirts and trousers / dress!! Any other advice re this venue would be appreciated, we are new to this and don't want to be put off the whole scene by any bad experiences. Cheers in advance for any replies.

If it's a Fetish night, they won't let you in with normal street clothes! Contact the venue for advice on dress codes.
But beware, unless you are used to the Fetish scene, you must be prepared to be muich more liberated than in a usual swingers club. You will see people getting hurt and enjoying getting hurt. You will see people dragging other people around on a colar and lead... Personally, I love it! :twisted: But it does need to be said you need a very non judgemental mind not to appear shocked.

"Saturdays are for couples and single ladies only. Traditionally this is our busiest night with some saturdays having over 200 couples in the club. Luckily the club is easily big enough to cope with such a large attendance"
"The second saturday of every month is also "fetish friendly" where some of our members come dressed in their leather, rubber or PVC costumes or assorted uniforms to add a little spice to procedings"
Was just wondering if anyone knew what the percentage of fetish dressed to not was. Thank you in advance anyone for further replies

I hope we won't be too out of place, lol, and as someone that wears a uniform every working day it doesn't appeal to me. I believe there is a dungeon downstairs so i guess the more fetish things will happen down there. I've e-mailed the club anyway but just thought i'd see if anyone had experiences from there. Where would be a club to go to in the Sutton, Surrey area? We have two houses and might decide to experience a Southern club too, would want a club where newbies wouldn't feel too overawed or out of it.
Sorry to disappoint but Sutton has absolutely no wothwhile fetish clubs anywhere nearby. But from there you can get up to the regular london venues - see the lists here and also try a web search for 'londonfetishscene' - easily sorted
If you want advice, (im)moral support etc go give Heather a shout here in the forum... she knows about the south-of-london places - she my even take you under a wing
if you just want to be around a bunch of folk in fetish mode but not feel obliged to get involved (i.e be tourists) then hang on for The Rubber Ball in October and pay out plenty of dosh for the tickets, thus supporting very very good causes - there is usually a number of after-ball activities and if you show up looking sorted and don't gawp too much you might get invited along - take care
