do you have one of those big whiskey bottles for chuckin all your loose change in confused:
well a mate of mine has been putting his loose change in empty salt containers you know the big 1.5 kg ones .
today i went to see him and he said do you want all these salt pots of money, if you count it you can have it (nice man ) :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
thought there would be a few ££££s so ok i says went to his car unloaded 24 of these salt pots into mine and took them home
mandy was sitting on the bed doing her make up (hours of a job every day  )
so i said to her give me a hand to count this lot and emptied all the coins on the bed this was at its now and we have counted of coppers and have run out of space banghead still a large pile left (now sent a friend to the bank to get some cash bags ) we ran out at so piled them up on the bed
whats the most you have collected in your copper jar
:?:
I had an empty ice cream tub that I used to throw loose change into when I got home from the pub.
Came to about £40 - not to be sniffed at..!! wink

Have fun taking them to the bank....my local one will only except 5 bags at a time....thats a lot of trips!!
I wounder if i could bay a gass bill using my penny jar!!!

some sainsbury's have machines which will convert your bags of coins into notes...
...for a mere 7.5% (cheek!). might save you some time, though it sounds like you are having fun.
I give all the 1p's 2p's and 5p's to my kids. They save it up and every now and again we go shopping so that they can buy what they want.
Usually over £40 in there every time we empty it, good fun letting them loose in the shops with the money too
we nearly finished now so sainsburys will have to sing for 7.5 %
asda have a simalar thing but it would be embarrasing taking up there machine for a cpl of hours and the noise it makes whilst counting it is deafening :fuckinghell:
We do the same giving the coppers and 5ps to the kids, put it into money bags then in a carrier bag, then when i can just manage to lift a carrier bag we head of to Barclays. then they spend it on toys or sweets. The most we saved so far was about £30.

Lol, I tidied my bedroom recently and found over £100 in coins.
My jar goes down faster than up, my 7(nearly 30)year old keeps taking some out and going to the shop to buy sweets !
I feel sorry for her future husband he'll never have any money, it must be something taught at a very young age mother to daughter, now there's an idea for a thread !!
I feel the daggers and stones coming my way right now, tee hee biggrin

Ditto. Except mine was a Haribo container.
the most we have saved up in one go was approx. £300 but its been a few years and the bottle (a large plastic coke bottle) is nearly full again no lol
I usually bag them up a few bags at a time, and think my bank takes 10 bags at a time.....sure they groan when the see me coming!!
