Well, it's definitely not . (if I may be permitted a moment of pedantry) is defined as:
1. Sexual relations between persons who are so closely related that their marriage is illegal or forbidden by custom.
2. The statutory crime of sexual relations with such a near relative.
The first definition implies members of opposite sexes. (Debate about same sex marriage notwithstanding, I think the definition assumes opposite sexes.)
The second definition needs to be assessed in terms of "why" it's illegal, and the answer is to prevent reinforcement of genetic defects, which again, doesn't apply to same sex couples.
It's not masturbation either. Masturbation is what you do to yourself, and a clone is not yourself, it's just someone who has the same genes as you. Identical twins conceived naturally are indistinguishable from clones, so having sex with your clone would be like having sex with your twin. I'd say it would constitue an advanced form of Narcissism.

Interesting. Didn't know that. There are sound scientific reasons for abstaining from hetero sex with a relative, but banning sex between related members of the same sex would seem to be a purely subjective moral standpoint. Don't really see the point.
I wonder if a clone would be legally recognised as a sibling?

Trouble with having a clone is that it still starts as a baby so you have to wait at least 16 years before you can shag him/her (whether or not you think it's , I'm positive no-one would contemplate REALLY breaking the law by having sex with a minor :shock: ). Then, what if your clone got to 16 and you were all set for the "big night" and he/she said..."What - you want to fuck me? You can fuck right off!!!!" Then you would have wasted all that time waiting! I guess that if you were cloned and you were the one to bring him/her up he/she would feel more like your son/daughter so you wouldn't want a shag anyway

Interesting Ice Pie, but if I was them ,i wouldn't do too much research on sheep. you see, sheep are born with one really developed, amazing, and totally all -surpassing gift: and that is to die.
You would not believe the many and varied ways they dream up to shuffle off their mortal coil. There they are , grazing away happily, you pop home for your tea, come back and find that half have escaped and half are in the upside down position, booking a passage to the great 'sheep pen in the sky'. A shepherd has to know as much about sheep diseases as a vet. Mind you, some of the diseases have interesting names: staggers,gid,scrapie, blackleg, fluke, struck, pulpy kidney...the list is endless.
But, I love sheep, and I'm sorry little Dolly has gone.
Interestingly, it's legal to conduct all this cloning and such like on sheep, but no longer legal for a farmer to bury one.

I don't believe that would be the case. It would be if the "buttons" were purely physical things, programmed into our genes. But they're not. So much of who we are is determined by our experiences. However identical a twin, you'd have different experiences. Would your clone appreciate how much you love having your knee nibbled because it brings back memories of your first girlfriend?
If you've been married for twenty years, your partner should have a much better idea of what turns you on, simply because of all of your shared experiences.
