It was either 'Jeepster' by Trex, or a record from about the same time called 'Run Baby Run' but I'm stumped as to who the artist was.

The group were the Newbeats, the same group who, in the 60's did "Bread and Butter".
1st record - Telstar The Tornados.
I'm sooooo fuckin old! It was a 78 rpm record called "R-O-C-K Rock" by Bill Haley and the Comets.
(and no I don't have it any more, probably one of the ones used by my brother and I as air gun targets)
Tubular Bells (Virgin001)-Vinyl LP: still got it.
First Single: 'Crackling Rosie', Neil Diamond-still got that too..
lol probably something by Rick Astley! redface
My first album was Kylie Minogue- "I Should Be So Lucky" :!:
The Kids from Fame - Starmaker
How sad am I.....
I even had the legwarmers
My first single was the '21st Century Girls - 21st Century girls' from Woolies In Widnes, what ever happened to them? does ne1 remember them? lol confused:

Yeah, I had that as a pre-release acetate from One Stop Records, we didn't know who it was by but played it all the time until it was commercially released, (this is my DJ-ing years). They were a great band live, much better than the singles output might have suggested.

Only Women bleed by Julie Coventon & Funky Moped by Jasper Carrot
xanaisx smile
Yes, the sad achievements list which includes things like, being on the same darts team with Mike Chapman (once), being mobbed by fans in the same car with Suzie Quatro (once), turning down the offer of Manager to Hot Chocolate (that's employed Manager to do the work, not the real one who got the money). Star Struck in my Mayfair days.
Actually I was amazed when I met her, she was in this really nice wool twin set with pearls, pretty and a real Sloane Ranger, not at all the leathers and stuff of TOTP.

i'd like to hear Jasper Carrot singing "Only Women Bleed" and Julie Covington singing "Funky Moped" - now that would really be something to hear lol
Mike.
