Well what can I say..great weather, great day,, great course.....we wont mention the golf tho!!!!!!
Seriously...the first ever Swinging Heaven Golf Day took place today in glorious sunshire at Styal Golf Club in the Cheshire countryside....
Thanks to all those who took time out to join us and without doubt, we all had a great day topping the tans up, lots of swinging of our clubs and not to mention playing with our balls....
OK.. the winner was
iluvminis - 29 points (of a handicap of 24)
Congratulations to him as he won a closely played contest, winning the Stableford competiton by one point from Nomad Soul
Another succesful Swinging Heaven outing...here's to the next one

Seriously though it was a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
I had a pleasant drive over but thought I had blown it when I turned in Manc Airport lol, saw some very friendly squirrels (not THAT friendly before anyone asks), Marmalaid showed our group a splendid specimen of bracket fungus (what ?? you cry), surprised me as well lol. Photos to prove it.
Styal is a very demanding course. It demanded that our party lose at least 5 balls apiece lol, but having said that lets hope it's not too long before we can do it all again. Especially sitting in the 19th listening to, and exchanging some very amusing phone messages, and videos lol

Here goes then:
Course: Miami
Date: Who cares, sometime in 2001
On a corporate day's Golf in Miami, my mate Jeff was on the approach to the eighteenth green and had a shot of some 130 yards to make the green and look really cool.
He was in the last four ball of the day and was being watched by the entire party (approx 40 players). He took his shot, got hold of the ball too bloody good and it sailed over the green, bounced on the patio area (missing everyone), bounced through an open window in the bar, bounced again on the floor inside and then landed in a charty bucket full of balls that players leave when they finish. It was some shot and earned him a round of applause as he walked in - looking very sheepish ... hehehe (he should have played a provisional)
This is the luckiest jammiest git I have ever played golf with and he has a handicap of 28 fgs!!!!!

for your info i have amended the original post to include his points score..the other scores were 28,26,25,20,19 points..so even you have a chance!!! but no shorts..dont want those legs putting me off my stroke !!!!!
