First of all a big hello to SH Towers and especially those who make it possible for this community to thrive in such a unique way.
As some of you know 2006 was my personal Annus horribilis but thanks to some very special people on this site I have come through the other side, if not unscathed, certainly stronger, and very much the wiser.
So I would like to take this opportunity not only to wish each and every member of this site a very happy, prosperous and friendship filled 2007, but just to let those, (and I know there are many) who are going through similar life crises those I have just navigated that there is light at the other end.
A huge thank you to the many friends that I have made on here without whom it would have been so much harder, and taken so much longer to get through something which at the time seemed hopeless.
OK without getting all sloppy all I really want to say is thank you all, old friends and new, and to the relative newcomers to the site let me say this:
It may not become apparent for some time when you are a member on here, but when the chips are down, you will find support from many different quarters, maybe surprisingly, a lot of that support will come from quarters that you least expect. You suddenly have friends you didn’t know you had, and most unexpected of all, those who you thought shunned you and your posts are standing right behind you.
So the point of the post?
2007
I will endeavour to follow and lead by example, to not only make this a new, bold and exciting beginning for me, but to try and help make others lives just that bit more bearable.

I am so glad that this site has helped you both. I've heard some people say the friendship is false. I don't believe that to be the case - it's just a little more difficult to bring it to bear when everybody is spread so far.
