Hello everyone 2009 what a year! Question is what is 2010 going to bring us?
Well the first thing i believe is that VAT goes back to 17.5% which means another hike in petrol prices ect.
Is 2010 going to be a better year then 2009 or 2008 even?

What makes me laugh is that when V.A.T was put down they did news reports showing how little it would actually save us as an average person. Now its going to go back up though you can guarantee they will find some scrubby looking fella claiming he's going to be in the gutter due to the rise.
I certainly am not predicting any personal hard ship for 2010. My job is about as secure as it gets and I can continue to make money being self employed if I choose to, which I may or may not do. Kind of lost the moment on doing that recently and not sure I can be bothered to get back into it.
2010 should see slow improvement in the economy. Worst part of 2010 is were likely to see the return of a Tory government. Its amazing how short people memory's are.
In short though 2010 will be as good or bad as I choose to make it. Its all down to you really.

yep labour had a wind full of money when they took over....n they havant stop spending gave the power back to the banks, fat lot of good that line their own pockets.

I think everyone will be glad to see the back of 2009 to be fair.
It's been a tough year in my line of work and I see the worst still to come. Will I still have a job this time next year? Possibly not, but we have other oprtions in the pipeline, things we would never have considered before. We have a way to pay off all our debts and save enough money for a deposit on a house whilst I give up work. It just involves moving to another country
Watch this space! Heres hoping 2010 is better for all of us!

Everything started going to rats for us in 2007 and has taken a slow decline ever since ... and it looks like there's worse to come in 2010. Not looking forward to it at all I'm afraid :sad:

Must admit on the odd occasion I have looked at the possibility of trading in here for a larger house in Aus with two garages and a pool and still having some change left over to boot. Normal problems though like leaving the family
and leaving home as I am quite attached to it. Ive known quite a few people move abroad mostly to Aus but some to other areas and then watched more than half of them move back again. Make sure its where you want to be

One reason I dont venture over to the current affairs forum is I think I would never have time for anything else :lol: As its been mentioned here though I will say that this Labour government haven't really done anything bad by me. 20 days paid holiday, Paternity and maternity leave paid, Tax credits, free nursery places. Its all been pretty good to us here and couldn't have come at better times too.

Mine was the opposite - some twats tried to fuck up the beginning of the year but halfway through, a wonderful someone made it all better for me. Onward and upward for us in 2010.
