Where are all these 2nd hand mobiles going ???
Does anybody know ?

They sell them to swingers to use as swingphones :haha:
they swing in Peckham?
lp
There are highly skilled units on the lookout for certain makes of phones- broken but switch-onable is best. They hunt them down in return for...wait for it...Tesco clubcard points. I kid you not.
They have Tesco's in Peckham?
lp
also even if they are locked or blocked from working they take them abroad where it does not matter because its a totally different system and they will work again
The turkish drivers at my cab firm keep all the phones they find and send them to turkey, different system out there, I believe.

At the boot fair on a Sunday morning there are little gangs of foreign gentlemen stopping all the cars as they come into the site, asking if people have mobile phones for sale.
Now there`s a TV ad asking for old mobiles as well

Just to get this back on track rolleyes I've been asking myself the same question for some time now, I did a number of 'booties' last year, and as soon as you're out of the car setting up, swarms of these guys are all over you asking for mobile phones. Working, broken, locked, unlocked, it matters not. I did notice however that there is a definite limit as to what they'll pay. Fiver topps back then, don't know what it is now dunno
Now, judging by the replies you've had so far, either no-one knows and its a well kept secret, or, we've missed a point here somewhere and we are being wragged and tittered at :lol2:
Brearing in mind that the booties I attend are out here in the sticks, it does make me wonder wth were missing here????
Come on folks, fill us in, whats the scam here?
My old phones are usually bolloxed by time I upgrade so I send them off to charities for recycling
I dunno flower.
There will be an answer.
Just like the broken light bulb market in the old eastern block. A thriving trade because blown light bulbs could be exchnaged for working ones at peoples places of work but were unobtainable in the shops.
Well, i know that I can get a good 2nd hand mobile here for £30, I can send it to family in Jamacia and sell that phone for £150.
The math, you do it
